You can wash a mechanical keyboard, just take off all the keys and put them in their own bowl or something, take apart the keyboard as much you can. Then rinse with isoproply alcohol. It might even be better to only rinse it in a solvent like isopropyl alcohol, which evaporates very quickly, so any possible risk that water carries is significantly minimized. The OP has clearly done a search. People like zelevin and THORLORD are just uninformed and giving bad responses out their ass. This isn't a great forum to ask this question in, unfortunately. Your gonna have to go to a mech keyboard forum or at least computer forum for this kind of stuff. I haven't done this myself so I don't know. Otherwise this site is as good as tomshardware for tech questions (lots of posters/readers, quick responses, a few knowledgeable people, otherwise bad advice, inexperienced, and regurgitated responses from bad reviews instead of personal experience).

1) Disconnect keyboard 2) Wait a couple of hours to allow the keyboard to discharge any electricity that it has stored 3) Dunk away. 4) Let it hang dry for a week. 5) Plug in and enjoy.
