What I don't understand is that no one seems to worry that all the criticism on trump in the media could somehow reflect bad on the usa as a whole. Trust me, Trump doesn't need the media's help for the USA to be reflected badly as a whole. You elected him in the first place.

Hopefully the new FBI director has a pair and goes after the leakers. Or, I don't know, 45 will listen to some of his more seasoned advisers and stop being a fucking moron on the international stage? He created all of these problems by being wholly unfit for the position he "won." How many leaks were had during the Obama years? And four months into this one?

It's totally cool that Trump gives Israeli intelligence to one of their most historical enemies, which is awash in anti-semitism. He's totally allowed, just like he's totally allowed to destroy all our alliances and run around the White House buck-naked. But those journalists! GASP! What a danger that someone would actually tell a journalist that our President doesn't fucking understand the concept of Western democracy. Somewhere, Ronald Reagan's corpse just vomited. Maybe Trump will exhume the corpse and let Russian ambassadors defecate on it. Wouldn't be illegal, you know? Although at some point, one would hope a Republican might actually care about his country.

Russia could take that intel and hand it to Iran, one of their allies, who would use it against Israel, and happily so. That's pretty damaging for something the press doesn't have its hands on. Would you rather people not know that Trump committed gross misconduct with our ally in Israel? That's a pretty serious allegation. If it's causing damage, it's because it's a damaging thing that happened.

Yeah, I agree, those damn people leaking to the press like Sean Spicer, Kelly Anne Conway, and Donald Trump really need to be punished. Some of them are even leaking publicly instead of privately!

Seriously explain to me the reasoning that makes you go from visible, sheer inaptitude every single day to "gotta get rid of the people who point out how idiotic the man is". I really want to understand how this works

The fact that this is your defence is telling in how desperate you are to handwave the problem away.

Hopefully the new FBI director has a pair and goes after the leakers. it's not the subject of the leaks, it's the leaks themselves. a timeless classic. but sarcasm aside you have no idea what classified intel he has disclosed, so saying something so blindly is fairly surprising. lol beaten by another dozen posts oof

Like we hear all these horrible things every day, why is there no impeachment then? I am genuinely curious about this by the way,is it just waiting for the bucket to fill up completely and its close but not quiet there yet?

I have a very simple answer, but I'm afraid it's partisan.

US politics is not about the good of the country, its about the party. So the Republicans will refuse to impeach Trump because it would hurt their party. The damage to the country does not matter. Only when the damage to the party by keeping Trump is greater then the damage from losing him will they impeach

The presumption underlying this post is astounding. You don't know exactly what was shared. Like I mentioned yesterday, there a ton of things that are classified that might be appropriate to share with Russia depending upon the circumstances. For all we know, this information shared could be required to be disclosed under the ICAO. Where is the rule or law that the US prohibited from sharing any intelligence with Russia? That's right: there isn't one for reasons that should be readily apparent to everyone. It's not the role of the intelligence community to make half-assed leaks that are designed purely to harm the president. If there really is something that the public needs to know about, then they should go full Snowden. But no, that's clearly not what this is about. This 100% politics. Of course, few liberals are going to admit that.

OR... maybe you're projecting? Maybe you assume everyone is as shallow as you? It's understandable. Do you, honestly, do you understand that Russia and Israel are NOT friends? Has this been explained to you, ever?
