Remember this quote? "[Saudis] buy apartments from me. They spend $40 million, $50 million. Am I supposed to dislike them? I like them very much.” The country was also left off his list for the Muslim ban. Then there is the pending $100b weapons deal. He's had a few critical words for them but I much imagine your former scenario being at play here than the latter.

Do you guys think McMaster spited Trump on purpose with that 'he didn't even know' line? His facial expression is a little too happy.
|
Maybe he got talking points from Bannon and was like "Oh, that is not going to fly at all. That will make things so much worse," but no one would listen?
|
There was probably a meeting, where Trump may not have been present, to decide on what to say and this is the best they could come up with.
|
I can almost guarantee Trump was not present at whatever meeting resulted in it being officially stated he didn't know the info was classified or its ramification. The guy can't even admit he didn't see New Jersey Muslims cheering 9/11 to himself.
It's a shame his handlers will never let him give sworn testimony ever (he's far too vain to just spam out "I can't recalls" like a sane person), because we would get some interesting debates about whether it's perjury if the liar is delusional.

You know, with all the attention Trump gets from the media, he has a lot of opportunities to talk about things, and prove to the world he isn't an idiot. He fails to do so every time, though.
He's only been president for 4 months, and already the plot of House of Cards looks tame in comparison.

This red herring blitz from McMaster is disconcerting, because he's supposed to be a moderating, credible force in the administration.

The classified intelligence that President Trump disclosed in a meeting last week with Russian officials at the White House was provided by Israel, according to a current and a former American official familiar with how the United States obtained the information. The revelation adds a potential diplomatic complication to the episode.
Israel is one of the United States’ most important allies and a major intelligence collector in the Middle East. The revelation that Mr. Trump boasted about some of Israel’s most sensitive information to the Russians could damage the relationship between the two countries. It also raises the possibility that the information could be passed to Iran, Russia’s close ally and Israel’s main threat in the Middle East.

The man is wholly unfit for office if this is all true. There was absolutely 0 reason to share that kind of information with the Russians, except to massage both his ties to Russia and his own ego. Nothing about this sounds remotely appropriate, and the PR folks are doing their damnedest, but they have an unenviable job right now.

Day after day (according to the media) trump commits treason, violates the constitution, has conflicts of interests,is obstruction the work of the justice department.
How can this man still be in office? The usa is starting to look more like a banana republic by the day.
Like the American media they write all these horrible things about him all the time, yet he still does not get impeached. That can only mean that the American democracy is rotten to the bone. That is the only logical conclusion based on the picture the media is picturing us.
|
There are other reports coming out from intelligence experts in Israel that the US relationship is unique and almost no other countries freely shares information in this fashion. Buzzfeed has an article on it. I’m getting the impression we rely on Israel for a lot of our information about threats from the Middle East.

Reporters are saying Adelson is meeting with McConnell now. Presumably Daddy Addy is mad.
|
|
That is not breaking lol, that has been out on yahoo for hours. "might" so "might" is already worthy of "breaking news" such bad reporting, its like gozzip right now.
We get it,trump is a crook. So just do your job then and get rid of him lol. The longer you guys keep this crook in place the worse all of America starts to look.
"I’m getting the impression we rely on Israel for a lot of our information about threats from the Middle East."
That impression might very well be correct. Beeing located in the middle east it would make sense if Israel has the best intel about the region.
|
its also timestamped 9:21 am, so presumably it was breaking then
|
Tweets cannot be edited. It is going say breaking whenever someone finds it.
|
Its looking like a witch hunt. Breaking news is not what it used to be,a heavily deflated term. What I don't understand is that no one seems to worry that all the criticism on trump in the media could somehow reflect bad on the usa as a whole.
|
So after he seems to have burned our bridge with Israel for no apparent reason, other countries follow suit in their hesitance to share intel with The Donald. It makes sense, I wouldn't hand classified intelligence to a man who will brag about it, out of hand, to their enemies. It just means the USA is really going to be on its own if this keeps up. I'm sincerely hoping the press is exaggerating the situation right now.
