There's a difference between "having an attention span like a gold fish", and being a narcissist. He will constantly point to this now, every time his taxes etc are brought up. The same way he constantly points back to how he was against the iraq war (regardless of truth or not). It's not bullshit he made up like the wiretap, where he wants to not talk about it. This "confirms" him, regardless of how stupid it is to point at sheets of papers of a decade ago and say "well there you have it, they illegally leaked it and proved nothing". He'll milk this. And the worst part is, it was so foreseeable, it's ridiculous. And it fuels into the "dishonest media" narrative, in fact in this case rightfully so. Trump fans need way less to have their narrative confirmed. | ||

I'm trying to figure out why anyone would think that it would be a good idea to run that story. You'd have to be a hardcore adherent to "any publicity is good publicity" to think that Maddow's show came out ahead on this. | ||

Even if you're generally a sane person and argue "well fake news is stuff like breitbart and infowars", being wrong has never stopped trump so far. The way you dodge dishonest media claims is to keep things above board. Hammer him on healthcare, taxation, foreign policy, whatever. He deserves it.
