Spread out, the rest of America isn't so bad! This also shows a big weakness in the US election system. Somehow, a minority of the population is able to control a majority in all parts of the legislative, the highest court of the iudicative and control the executive. This is obviouly broken. 2 party FPTP with so many weird archaic relics as in the US means that instead of simply winning the people over, you have to win in a very convoluted game with weird rules that make no sense whatsoever. I am not quite certain why people accept that as normal. I get that it isn't easy to change, but i think a lot of the US population has to no idea that other democractic election systems exist. Which don't have those problems.

Being out of ones mind in this case refers to the fact that Trump focus more on things he hates, people he want to see in jail, walls he wants to build among other things and there are people cheering for that. Nearly half of USA. That is scary. I'm not saying that Clinton is a saint and should have won but never in my life have I heard a person being so hateful, angry and down right wrong in so many areas but yet get so much support. So sorry for not understanding why it's not possible for half of the US citizens be out of their minds. Why wouldn't people instead of voting for Trump or Clinton vote for someone else if they think the candidates are so bad? Clinton wanting to war with russia means total disaster. If you cant see clintons greed and hate you are blind.

Maybe they will learn from this, but most likely not. A reality TV-Star is the end of the media? Uhm, shit like this is what i just can't understand.

And then that the media somehow go from a margin of error lead to a 98% chance of victory. Spoken like an imbecile who has never been to the US. He's exaggerating and should have said western Europe

Its like looking back in time at the 1800's / early 1900's. so Trump is a six foot two Napoleon. thanks for the laugh. the US doesn't have to follow Europe.."socially". who says doing things in lock step with Europe is good any way. if Trump gets the economy rockin' i'm happy.

And 55 from CA is a great advantage for democrats. I just find this super interesting from a process point of view. Protection against the majority indeed.

the other large trend of women underperforming their polling avg shows polling as an act itself invokes polite behavior, but when the underlying judgment becomes social impropriety vs perceived crimes or corruption former is not strong enough. it was always incumbent on hrc to fight the policy argument fight. against a populist headwind to be sure, but polling obscured need for this. messaging strategy is a fail for only engaging with aboveboard narratives and failing to engage the derided alts from both left and right. this was difficult but it had to be done, given extreme reliance on fake news and social media. the other fallout is that right or not, the third way people on left would lose some influence and politics turn more into class struggle and anti-capitalist. it is probably going to involve a war in the dem side. conceding the messaging to the populists seems to be compelled by circumstance. this would in turn expose the other fact during this election, middle upper class vote for selfish reasons. if there is a stark class war of the bernie vs trumpish republican kind, the republican would win. the circumstances are such that the left would not learn the right lessons. doubling down on populism would be the thing to do, but it is really a case of center weakness and not left strength. a pure left-populist message would not win if framed as threat to suburban sensibilities.

Not to mention Donald is such a wildcard who in the flying fuck knows what he will really do when he actually has power. I'm pretty sure he knew most if not all of his grand ideas were impossible. He just knew he could strike a cord with the dullard masses and become President saying it...
