I don't see what the big deal is, Trump's not gonna get re-elected. Neither would Hillary. And the United States of America is too large and strong and rich a country and a people to get completely wrekt by either of them. Most people are super dramatic about these kind of things. For the majority of the population, their day to day lives will not change at all. And yeah, this election sets up anyone to easily take the 2020 election.

With Trump in charge there might be a way to keep this possible.

And as you can see, no one attacking Bernie has made him look far more favorable than he would if Clinton hadn't used the kid gloves with him or what he would have faced in a general election. At least as a straight white dude who can afford college this doesn't hurt me nearly as much as the Bernie bros who decided this election with their protest votes, so I get 4 years+ of telling them they did this to themselves.

Might not matter now. Pray to God Kwark is wrong about where Trump will take us. Speaking of, I'll miss you Kwark. You were easily my favorite poster in the thread, and the only person who has ever described modern imperialism in a way i found remotely persuasive

It takes something special to lose to Trump. You can decide to blame it on the berniebros if that makes you feel better. I'm going to focus on the conscious choice to elect a candidate that's hated as much as Trump over a candidate that is perceived more positively than negatively.

If white people start voting in bloc fashion the way minorities do, they'll determine who wins the presidency for another 30 years. Admittedly that isn't going to happen, but tonight we saw the white working class (which is like 40% of the electorate) essentially voting as a bloc for Trump. A less vulgar and generally boorish Republican candidate could bring college-educated whites back to their historical GOP voting levels while retaining working class whites and that would be enough to win the presidency for some time. Could. It took a Trump to get such a swing in the white working class from generally favoring the Republican to overwhelmingly favoring the Republican.

I mean third party voters won Trump Florida Arizona Michigan and Wisconson and more, so yeah its their fault.
