In this kind of mindset, you have to vote for the person you think will have the most chance to upset the candidate you hate. People who might have voted 3rd party or not at all are showing up to vote against the candidate they hate by casting a vote for the other candidate who actually has a shot to win.
Right, that's not a protest vote, which is my point.
A protest vote is "option A is better than option B for me, but I'm voting for option B because I'm mad the establishment has only given me these 2 choices even though I actually want/expect option A to win". If you hate option A and are voting for option B because of it, that's not a protest vote anymore.

Clinton will shrink Trump's lead in Ohio but I doubt she'll come close to winning

I don't agree with you.
I might be stupid, so I dunno, but I've made my arguments here very clear many times about why I think Hillary is an awful person and why she shouldn't be president. So while you might think that Trump is unfit, I think than Hillary is unfit, so there we are.

I could beat both of them in a running race i'm sure

I feel like the democrats underestimated just how fucking toxic NAFTA/TPP were going to be this election season. Sanders almost won the primary off of them, and while Clinton turned to being against them she never made it a key talking point like she would have needed to considering she practically wrote the TPP.

I think the rural Trump support comes at least partly from Clinton's push for a $12/hr nationwide minimum wage. That sort of wage is quite high for rural areas and small towns, where the cost of living is something like half that of cities. Raising the minimum wage to urban salary levels would kill off their local businesses.

Virgina is Clintoland, thats save now.
N.C. is extremly likely to be won by Trump.
Now it is Michigan, whoever wins here... and freaking Wisconson.

There is a huge difference between the two and unless you're a criminal, a briber with millions at stake, or an illegal immigrant, one is objectively better than the other

I don't think Clinton is safe in Minnesota. Just putting it out there.

Yeah, Trump needs to find one state to win. His options are Wisconsin, Michigan, Colorado or NH + Nevada.
