It sounds good, but is pretty awful. While I agree on gun restrictions in some ways, you should not and cannot deprive an American citizen of their constitutional rights without due process, especially since the terror watch list has little to no transparency they won't be banning them without due process. IF they put in that law, there will be some sort of due process/appeals system. otherwise everyone knows it'd get instabanned by the courts. part of the reason some gov't orgs dislike such a law is that it makes their determinations more subject to judicial review. whereas if gov't simply has a watch list and doesn't use it to actively deny you anything, you can't challenge their determination.

The most conservative said that the debate was awful, and was disappointed that Trump didn't push harder past the beginning. Blamed biased questions. A super libertarian though Trump barely won, although Clinton was coming back by the end. The third guy though it was "interesting" and neither candidate won.

That's highly suspect because due process is already going down the drain just with NICS background checks: https://www.nraila.org/articles/20160122/no-way-out-feds-stop-processing-nics-denial-appeals

That's what they said about warrantless surveillance, enhanced interrogation, and the no-fly list. Also, Clinton will be nominating two or three SC justices this cycle if she becomes President. Once again, this is an idea so bad the ACLU supported the NRA on condemning this issue. This does not happen often, to say the least.

If we had a normal debate then we could have heard more details but this is what we have.

what we need is for court stuff to get processed faster, so the already unconstitutional stuff gets fixed faster.

Find better areas for gun control regulations, like subsidizing and requiring background checks for individual/online/gunshow purchases and exchanges. That would legitimately target a gaping hole in our current system of background checks.

I'm not actively defending no fly no buy, i'm debating various points about related legalities. Also, if I were in charge, the no fly list wouldn't have had these issues it has in the first place. And I already have plenty of sound gun plans of various sorts.
