lol.. I don't know what you're imagining. But this is already far more disruption than any of you all predicted when you laughed at the idea that the Convention wouldn't be as united as they were trying to pretend.

lol. Alright. Ted Cruz getting booed was some big deal, but this is just smooth sailing.

The spin is dizzying.

I've never watched one before, so I'm looking forward to making up my mind. And yeah, that is the exact kind of stuff that I dislike about the current left, but there were some very bad speakers at RNC too, so I'll forstall my judgement for a while.

@Rebs I support Trump this election, but historically, I've preferred Democratic candidates.

Oh I am not surprised.
Was somewhat anticipating/hoping for a complete meltdown tonight but I guess that would be one step to far.
Maybe the best outcome for the democrats is a truce this convention. A convincing embracing of Hillary by all the sanders supporters is a bit to soon probably.

Is it hard to become speechwriter in the us?
Its like only one tiny part of my job but seriously... give me 1 hour and i smoke these guys... in a, to me, foreign language.

Or.. These non bernie guys really still don't see the point the bernie crowd is actually making.

The latter is way more likely

LOL, just reducing super delegates by 2/3s? This is a farce. Are these idiots not paying attention?

I think the fact that Trump almost certainly wouldn't be the nominee (at least on the first ballot) if there were Republican superdelegates is the main reason they're retaining any.

Then again he likely wouldn't be the nominee at all if Republicans had proportional delegate allocation so it's not really a great reason to keep superdelegates around.

The average age around here makes this a kinda difficult question.

Regardless, the point still remains: liking Obama in '08 and '12 doesn't make mean one generally supports Democrats

I honestly don't see what the point of a verbal vote is because it seems clear that in both the Republican and Democrat conventions that whatever it is that they are putting to a vote is intended to pass no matter what.

Reminds me of this video.

That was the impression I got.

She did it out of 'going through the motions' and even though it was anything but clear which side won, just announced it passed and everyone moved on 0 fucks given.

I'm relatively young, so not in the present, but when I looked through the history and policy proposals and such, I thought Bill Clinton and Al Gore were the better choices, and Kerry as well, though maybe that's easy to say in hindsight. They've just been moving too far to the left initially... If Hillary wasn't so despicable and immoral, and wasn't drifting to the left because of the LGBT cultural shift and to gain support from Bernie bros, I think she'd be a fine candidate.

Not everyone all the time, just anyone who supports Clinton and is calling for faux unity. It's a very direct message that the "unity" theme is bullshit.

Some classic oneupmanship coming from the Democrats here. Just when you think it wasn't possible to screw a campaign as hard as nominating Trump the Democrats just take it up another few levels.
