Of course, it's also almost certainly due to technology that it's so easy to plagiarize like this, but eh.

Maybe because the rest were speech done by reality tv show, it was underwhelming to me. Anyway, at worst some guy took a 20sec part of another speech, should not have done that, but it is not the end of the world it is not like those kind of speech are suppose to be honest.

Literally stole the ideas and words associated with them from the party they oppose. They took the words directly from the democrats, who they vilified all day.

Also every major news outlet is talking about this. When is it time for the RNC to make a move to put this fire out if the campaign won't do anything? What can they even really do? Best option may be to ignore it?

I didn't pick the other speakers! You can only compare it to the other speeches of the day. "I have a dream" certainly none of them were. It happened to be the best in a mountain of garbage, still the best though. I mean nothing sticks to him, his supporters don't care so this won't change much there. Maybe it sways some independents, a few perhaps but it's not watergate or anything. But there's a less than 0% chance it was a coincidence and its pretty sad. I know the Obama's are likable eloquent people but come on, don't jack part of the speech of someone you supposedly despise. Just write your own cliche milquetoast crap at least.

This does turn attention away from mostly terrible speakers and puts it back on Trump by proxy of his wife. His entire political career thus far has been cause controversy, get the media spotlight blasted at you. Before this everyone was going to give attention to how stupid the convention was today, but now instead its on this. The media isn't fixated on awful speaker #23951 its fixated on Melania Trump! That's good for visibility!
