Someone is getting extremely fired. Making a fool of Trump's wife is probably a "so long and good riddance". I mean, of course she says that. Is she not supposed to? A speech writer's job is to write a speech for someone perfectly so that there is no reason to second guess anything. The speechwriter failed. Whether she said she wrote it or not, the person who actually wrote it is getting fired.
Don't know if I would rule out the possibility that she wrote it. Trump is apparently writing his and it's kind of the style of his campaign.

Just saw this, lol wtf. Is this actually real life or what? Pretty sure if you can find this same idea in a good proportion of the presidential candidate and first lady speech in any country it is just some realy bland an easy thing you have to said. There are professional paid to right those speech and they wrote a bunch of them of course they all kind of sound the same, they know what catchphrase work the best. It would be way harder to actually take Michelle Obama speech and try to copy it by changing some word then to just write that kind of bland statement. Seem likes just a coincidence to me. Anyway it's not like it was of any importance.
Watch the video and read the last line. That stuff doesn't just accidentally happen. Yeah its a cliche message but the exact same words don't just happen to come out in the exact same configuration like that. When you further consider that one was said by the first lady and the other was said by someone looking to become the first lady the odds become so amazingly minuscule coincidence isn't even debatable.
You can argue whether the plagiarism matters really. But there is nothing coincidental about it.

How wild will it be if Trump flat out denies it was plagiarized? Anyone else somewhat expecting that?

In less than two years, ISIS has gone from a terror start-up overseas to what FBI Director James Comey calls a "chaotic spider web" in the US, with young Muslim men being radicalized in Illinois and the 49 other states. Comey suggests ISIS uses social media like a job fair. That's how he says terrorists snagged three New York men facing ISIS charges.
"Those people exist in every state. I have homegrown violent extremist investigations in every single state. Until a few weeks ago there was 49 states. Alaska had none which I couldn't quite figure out. But Alaska has now joined the group so we have investigations of people in various stages of radicalizing in all 50 states," Comey said. http://abc7chicago.com/news/isis-present-in-all-50-states-fbi-director-says/534732/ From this year: http://www.politico.com/story/2016/07/joni-ernst-isis-terrorists-225792
Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst dramatized the threat posed by ISIS during the Republican National Convention Monday, but she also appeared to exaggerate the spread of followers of the Islamic State group on U.S. soil.
"According to the FBI, ISIS is present in all 50 states. Think about that for a moment. Terrorists from ISIS are in every one of our 50 states," Ernst said.
Ernst's comments appeared to be based on statements FBI Director James Comey made in February 2015, when he announced that the FBI was then pursuing radicalization investigations in all 50 states, with Alaska just added to the list.
However, the FBI chief did not state that people in all 50 states had been confirmed to be ISIS followers, rather that probes had been opened into that possibility.
In addition, while Ernst referred to those under investigation as "from" ISIS, the FBI has yet to assert that any attack or planned attack in the U.S. was directed by the terror group holding territory in Syria and Iraq.
"Those people exist in every state," Comey told the National Association of Attorney General. "Until a few weeks ago there was 49 states. Alaska had none which I couldn't quite figure out. But Alaska has now joined the group so we have investigations of people in various stages of radicalizing in all 50 states."
...and Trump's wife plagiarized Michelle Obama. Not above it all after all. Yes, I'm sure the people in this thread were just being nitpicky. There is a serious problem, which is the point.
Of course terrorism is a serious problem, I just don't understand why the Republican platform seems to act like they're the first ones to figure that out? Do they think Obama thinks terrorism isn't serious and that he's truely a Kenyan Muslim ISIS operative?
Do they truly think that screaming the word "radical Islam" while throwing the fists in the air is a tool to combat terrorism? Are they imagininging terrorists sit in front of their TV's and are like "Hell no, the Americans have finally figured it out, better pack our bags" ?

It seems widely regarded as the best speech of the day, certainly one of the best.

I can imagine Hillary quoting some particularly dumb Trumpism then saying "oh but all credit goes to Trump, it's important to give credit to people otherwise its plagiarism".
