Absolutely wrong. If Hamas fires 120 rockets at Israel, knowing that only 2-3 will hit, and then Israel fires 10 in response, all of which will hit, which side has done more damage. As i said earlier, intentions mean nothing, war is about results.

And the rockets are :

You hear that ? 30 % UNKNOWN, and still Israel is targetting the mastermind behind the rockets. LOLMAO

Hamas dont know how many will hit when they fire, its that each rocket will cause anywhere between 100-300,000 people to run for cover.

So we're comparing targeted strikes with the indiscriminate missles launched by an organization that actively targets civilians?

Hamas rule gaza; ergo they are responsible and they allow it. The whole numbers game is dumb and its pointed out why so many times.

It's obvious that you do not. Lack of ability does not wipe out the intent to cause mass casualties.
Of course, you are one of the people who happily employs a double standard against Israel, so you simply do not care.

My step family just moved over from Israel and it's not since listening to them and my Dad who'd worked in Israel for the past 5 years when you realise how pro-palestine the western media actually is.
I don't condone violence in any sense of the word, but firing retaliatory rockets at military targets after they get missiles thrown at civillian areas I have little to no problem with.
Israel and the problems in Palestine wouldn't even be this bad had the Allies after WW2 set up Israel better. The governments back then have killed so many more people, innocent people, than they saved. :/

The sheer number of missiles has nothing to do with anything, nor does the intentions. When all is said and done the only things that matter are the number of casualties, and as you said the effect that the threat of missiles has on a population.
I'm not claiming anything about legitimacy, and i'm not asking you to stop using the iron dome (i don't know where that came from) i'm simply saying that the numbers are both irrelevant and misleading when it comes to the number of rockets fired, its the effect of the rockets that is important. Like you said, sending people running for cover and scaring people is an effect of the missiles, and therefore it is relevant. Surely you can't disagree with that.
