We have almost the exact same values. Too bad I go to a school where all the Chinese girls lack the 2nd criteria. They came here to escape the Gao Kao, so they're either lazy, dumb, or a combination of both.
I am at a major state flagship West Coast university with a massive number of incoming Chinese internationals. Unfortunately, they are mostly, well, "bad stock", so to speak... I don't even really understand why Chinese students find the Gaokao so difficult. I've seen English-translated questions, and all of the math problems are downright trivial.

Since you are biochemistry major, there should be a lot of Asians in that field. You should have no problem conversing with them if you are Chinese. If you don't initiate conversation with them in class, you can try studying in the library where you might run into them.
How would I initiate conversation in class? During a lecture, I am always taking notes attentively or working on problems. Moreover, it would be rather strange to initiate conversation with someone in a library.

Well, I don't actually talk like that in real life; naturally, I am simply trying to get my point across on this forum in an efficient but precise manner, but I would not say such stilted phrases in a real-time face-to-face conversation. Moreover, selecting a person who may eventually become one's wife in the future is a non-trivial task and should naturally be undertaken with care and finesse; it would not do to be too liberal in one's expectations and standards.
I am already moderately fit. I don't, however, know how I can become "charming". I have no interest in being socially popular, as even the process of doing so would require a fair amount of interaction with society at large; generally speaking, I find this unpleasant. I prefer the company of small groups of qualified individuals.
Finally, I am already confident, and I already do talk to girls.

The problem resolves itself if I do not show them this personality.

But really, the way you write screams your age.
Professors tell me that I write like an academic, so I imagine you'd find browsing through old journals and papers quite amusing (that in an of itself is a rather amusing image).
I will admit, though, that many academic papers *are* written in an incredibly roundabout and superfluous manner (as far as the prose goes, at least).

You write like a douche, not an academic. Academics write the way they do for very specific reasons (namely that terminology needs to be very clear and specific), there's absolutely no reason to write that way on a forum unless you're trying to look smart.

I write this way everywhere: in papers, on forums, in letters, in e-mails, etc. I am used to writing in this style and I do not intend on deviating from it anytime in the near future. I suggest you deal with it.
Moreover, you imply that there is no need for my terminology to be very clear and specific in a forum post. Might I ask why you believe that to be the case? I am, after all, trying to communicate.

You really annoy me. I'm closing this. It's unfounded and completely subjective. If another moderator disagrees, I encourage them to reopen it.
