Battle Hellion and Warhound come to mind. Er. The Battle Hellion is just a mechanical Firebat. If you're really that stressed about it, shouldn't you be blaming Brood War for it? Brood war had a completely different setup of unit diversity, this is not apples and oranges when you factor in what other units can do. Terran has the most ridiculous compelation of units now, between marine, seige tank, marauder, thor, viking, battle hellion, warhound they basically have every goddamn angle covered a little too convieniently.
i dunno about that, they still lack any real unit to deal with Broodlords in tvz, so they can mech all they want, eventually its going to look the same late game as it is now, Depends how much turtle they are able to get off . And now that vipers are in, i dont see mech being that much of a problem for zerg to deal with.. between burrow charge and viper pull, you have no point.
And against P, me and a friend did alot of testing in the arcade hots map to see what actually counters the warhound. What we found was that any protoss air opening is great, but if you are really stubborn and dont want to go air, and you have confirmed terran mech, its perfectly fine to go double robo immortals. Dont bother about getting colosus cause the warhounds can handle them, but double robo immortal with a few charge lots slaughter any amount of battlehellion/warhound combos ez even up to 200 food . If see variations with mass marines/warhounds instead, add templar/psistorm/archon +immortal.

I don't understand why people keep ragging on marauders when they have exactly the same speed, control scheme and punch as marines - arguably the best microable unit in the game. Watching a terran play pure bio is one of the most enjoyable things in the whole game and would be utterly impossible without marauders.
I also notice that people keep going on about marauders and not stalkers. Would someone like to tell me the difference between the dragoon and the marauder?

yes, and Zerg got every angle covered with infestors, could you also explain to me how battle hellion, warhounds and mines are going to help deal with the zerg lategame army?

Battle Hellion and Warhound come to mind. Er. The Battle Hellion is just a mechanical Firebat. If you're really that stressed about it, shouldn't you be blaming Brood War for it? Battle Hellions are acceptable, but the Warhound on the other hand is just stupid...same with the Tempest. If someone would erase all my memory about wol and show me all the new units they made from bw to star 2 I'd say the exact same thing about roach/marauder/colossi/fungal etc. pp. This is just the first build of beta it's probably gonna take another year until we can talk about this game being balanced, way too early to call units stupid. Roach/Marauder/especially Colossi...(i like infestors) are pretty dumb units to begin with. So yeah I'd still call Warhound and Tempest incredibly dumb and very poorly designed. And this has like nothing to do with balancing the game. Marauders turned out to be great imo. It made terran bio so strong in every MU. Good as in strong, but not good as in well designed units that will keep Star2 alive as an esport. I have noticed this a lot lately, that some people discuss how strong the units will be and be satisfied if they fill their role and makes the race stronger, while I just look at the unit in an esport spectator POW. What are we spectators/players after? Is is strong units that complete the gaps in the races, or well designed units that Star2 lacks? Warhound is sure to be satisfying those who ask for strong units in Terran, but the unit looks utterly bland and anti-esport.
Pro players using mech in BW made for good show since it lead to covering much terrain while being being immobile, while Vultures were the "Frontiermen" so to speak. What HotS seem to be giving us us just a new kind of bio that looks like giant robots walking around in the same blob that I have learned to despise. Mech was not interesting for spectators because they had steel instead of skin, but because it had to be played completely different than bio and slowly pushing. Now, this is not what we will get in HotS.

Bio is great towatch in SC2 imo. That's why I said marauders turned out to be great. If Blizzard manages to make both mech and bio great in HotS then that would be amazing.
