There has been report of people getting banned when they lost 40 games in less than 5 seconds. It's been posted somewhere on TL but I'm too lazy to find it. Edit: Not 40 exactly but minimum 40 games

Tanking games is actually a bannable offence, Purposely losing could cause your account to be banned, Blizzard has stated this themselves. Although I doubt it really ever happens, just don't quit games immediatley, let it play out for a few minutes before leaving

I've seen plenty of people do this, I don't see the issue. There are plenty of legitimate reasons to want to practice against lower level people. There are plenty of stupid reasons as well, but that's what this ladder system does to you. Pretty much every single online tournament however does frown upon it and would easily get you banned.

Once I get the basics down, I'm thinking of tanking down into Silver then working my way back up with Zerg or Terran. That's stupid. Why not just play in platinum, and lose there? Blizzard states they ban for it, and I'm glad they do. That's ridiculous. Just lose yours games normally. On May 24 2012 05:58 Mrvoodoochild1 wrote: Intenionally losing is not bannable. I know two people that have both been banned for tanking their MMR. One was a masters players who tanked down to bronze so his sister could play. He was banned for either 2 weeks or one month, I don't recall.
