That could be an interesting story line though because Protoss are doing so well lately as it is. The whole "can these BW bonjwas (Flash, Bisu, Jaedong-- T, T, Z) who all happen to play T and Z in SC2, dominate GSL players like Parting, Squirtle, MC, Oz, Genius, who all happen to play P?" Of course, that ignores players like MVP, MMA, DRG, Nestea, etc. but it's interesting to me that a lot of the top SC2 players right now play P, but none of the BW bonjwas who are switching over play P. (If they switch over!) Also, to be honest I'm not as aware of many BW players who play Protoss other than Bisu. Who do you guys think would be the best BW Protoss who could still play P in SC2 if they were to switch? Just to get an idea of who's at the top of the BW scene right now, here's the player list and race of everyone who qualified for the OSL earlier this month: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=328812 RorO, Action, Alone, Neo.G_Soulkey, herO[jOin], ZerO Calm, hyvaa, Killer, Hyuk, Jaedong, Modesty, Shine, Hydra, n.Die_soO Rush, Bogus, Last, BaBy, Flash, HiyA, Sea, Fantasy Grape, mini, Horang2, Stork, JangBi --- I accidentally left the 4 players who qualified from last year's OSL off the list, that's why JangBi wasn't there, oops. Also, Bisu didn't qualify =( In response to my own question I guess I would say Stork or JangBi just based on how popular I know they are--JangBi won the last OSL in 2011 and I did get to see the VODs of that. But I don't watch much BW outside of like RO8 and onwards OSL VODs (and MSL back in the day).

Take MKPs control and timings Take Partings Caster control Take Nestea/MVPs Macro God Brain Power Take DRGs mechanics Take MMAs decision making/mind games This combined is a player the caliber of Flash...Whether it takes 2 months or 1 year...Flash has these talents and will no doubt be a force in Sc2 based on this alone.

If free was still relevant id throw him in the pool but the way he is right now i doubt it.

Flash started playing Starcraft when he was 12. He was obviously not a full time pro, and his parents wanted him to finish school. If he were able to obtain a progaming license within his first few courage tournaments, he would be able to continue. Flash miraculously achieved this feat first time, something Jaedong took a year to do. By the age of 15, he won his first starleague and by 2010, he was God. It took 3 years for Flash to turn from newbie to 15 year old Starcraft genius. How long will it take him to turn from Bw bonjwa and God, into sc2 amazing player. Probs not long.

I really hate these "he was god" references but to respond to your post a bit, when he played bw when he was 12 it was his first time playing an rts competitively (this is assumption obviously). The first game is going to be the hardest,I highly, highly doubt it's going to take him 2 years to get good at sc2, more like a few months along with jaedong and all those gosu bw pro's. I imagine a couple months and they will be super good (this is assuming they play as much as they do bw in terms of how much they practice). There's a difference between playing an rts like bw for the first time, then playing an rts that is very similar to bw in terms of macro, expanding and the only difference being new units and what they can and can't do just the macro part being a lot easier then in bw obviously. I am just imagining the flash vs jaedong in sc2, continue their rivalry. In bw they are very even (record is like 25-24 favoring flash lol). Wonder how it'll be in sc2

I hope that is true and it will be interesting to see how much of that he can actually do if he really switches. I generally like the fact that in SC2 you cannot gain as much advantage over your opponent as in BW by simply being able to click buttons faster than him.

Stars Coach Lee: I first thought that the better players in SC1 would be better players in SC2, but it didn’t hold true for everyone. It’s more of a case-by-case thing. Some players are only good at SC1, some only at SC2, and some are good at both. In any case, I’m confident that practice will make up for the gaps. Honestly, some of the players that were, let’s say, terrible at SC1, are now absolutely demolishing others in SC2. We all started at the same time, but already we’re seeing skill differences. Based on that, it seems pointless to argue who's going to be good and who isn't. But the operative word from the quote is "practice," which we know Flash will do in spades. So whatever mojo that made Flash what he is in SC1 isn't necessarily going to make him a god in SC2, but at least we know his perseverence and hard-work "may" overcome any deficiencies he might have in SC2.
