Don't get why you think this. Not too many of the Greats had to do it alone, just because he had The Decision and that huge celebration and such he can't get grouped in with the greats. Magic had Hakeem Bird had McHale and Parish Kobe had Shaq + Bynum/Gasol later Wade had Shaq Jordan had Pippen Allen, KG and Pierce came together to win. So, yeah. Just because they either were together by drafting or whatever they didn't do it alone.
Whaaa, The Dream never played with Magic? He played for the Rockets & Raports, and Magic was a Laker for life.. or did I miss something significant in NBA history?

pretty sure he meant Kareem. Just a typo/brainfart

I like LBJ and I hope he does win 8 championships but it's a shame that he would do it in Miami. Miami fans are just not as deserving as some other cities, imo. Too many fair weather fans. The Marlins have won 2 championships in the past 15 years and they're probably among the worst in attendance in MLB. I can't blame the fans too much because the years they win the team gets broken up and the next year they do terrible, but you're supposed to support your team even in the bad times. Being from South Florida it's been nice to go to Marlins games with $8 upper deck seats and being able to sit in the front row because you know those seats will be empty. OKC fans were 10 times as insane as Heat fans in that series.

The perfect comparison to me in all of this is what the teams were without him. The Bulls without Jordan made it to second round and played a tough 7 game series against the Knicks (who made it to finals). The Cavs without LBJ were one of the worst Ive ever seen on a basketball court.

LBJ made a costly mistake with The Decision. He's suffered enough. Let him enjoy his crown.

A 5th or 6th seed in the east is my reasonable guess.

3rd or 4th if they let Bosh and Wade play out the full season. Don't see them going into the Atlanta/Orlando/Knicks territory at all.

Sure, possibly considering how awful boston's record was. But go into the playoffs and could we see them ever beating boston or pacers? I don't think so. Hell, even philly would've been tough to deal with.

Now that the worst part of the season is over (ugh, playoffs,) the best part is coming up in 3 days! NBA Draft!!!! Not gonna do a mock but I want to put some thoughts down so they can be laughed at in the near future.
1. I do not get the infatuation with Bradley Beal. His tools don't grade out to be outrageously excellent in any respect: he's not particularly tall, his handles are just good but nothing excellent, his athleticism is adequate (his EJ comps are outrageous, EJ can explode at the rim and is a bowling ball of muscle.) "But what about his shot?!" Granted, it's a beauty. Clean and fast and repeatable. But he is not the driller he's made out to be, just look at his stats at Florida. They're very good but let's settle down before anointing him Ray Allen 2.0.
2. Why is Terrence Jones sliding? I've seen him from 16-22. That's a bit crazy I think. He's got some motor issues and faded from games at Kentucky - but he played with Marquis Teague, MKG and Anthony Davis and Doron Lamb....go figure he'd fade. He's 6'9" and 24lbs with talent and strength and his shot isn't borked in any way.
3. I have never seen Damian Lillard play - I have no idea who he is and why people love him so much.
4. But I have seen Dion Waiters play. And he is not special. Did he even start at Syracuse? If this guy goes top-10, someone needs to recalibarate their risk-reward assessments.
5. Beware of Thomas Robinson, he looks like a NBA starter and plays like one, but just remember, he's a College Junior. He was beating up on kids. I never trust players like that in the lottery...well, except Dwyane Wade. Don't get me wrong, I don't think he'll be a bust but I don't think he's a star either. Charlotte simply can't take him 2nd and expect any sort of true impact.
6. I'm an athleticism whore and Harrison Barnes' measurements were too enticing. I think he should go top 3. 40 inch vert? Jump shot? Sign me the hell up. He was mega lame at UNC though. From what I can tell, he just can't get a shot off because his perimeter ball handling is pretty mediocre, but frankly, his measurements blow Luol Deng's and Danny Granger's out of the water. More athletic Deng for John Wall? That's not the worst.
7. I love guys like Andre Drummond and Perry Jones, they're the reason the NBA draft is awesome. Shoutout to Brandon Wright, Donte Greene, Acie Law IV, Joe Alexander and Tyrus Thomas.

Forgot to mention my favorite player in the draft: Jeremy Lamb. Some guys are just ballers. And he's a baller. All the love for Stephen Curry should be poured on him instead.

Don't really agree with how dour they're making the situation out to be. I stand by my previous post on the trade and support their approach. This whole "the only way to win is by tanking and drafting elite players" idea is getting out of control and has shown itself to fail way more than it succeeds. OKC is great, but a LOT of things had to go right for it to work. How terrible would the league be if it was filled with teams that were either championship contenders and teams tanking for high draft picks? I applaud teams like DEN and WAS for competing while also building for the future. It's not full-proof, but neither is tanking.

They've only 6+11 in the first round and Mashall projected around ~15-20. I would love to see him with the Mavs, but with Deron that would be stupid.
