Thinking the offense gets a free 5 second shot clock after being defended close to violation and forced into a jump ball is stupid. You lied about Scott Brooks "failing" at telling his players the situation and then lied about what the shot clock was to make it look like Westbrook was misled in the situation when I called you out on that. Back to back fabrications. You demeaned Miami by saying the refs rigged the series for them. You made absurd postulations when you said they couldn't win in the Western Conference (as if) and that winning the eastern conference. You can defend OKC by saying they didn't play to their potential, maybe they played down to their competition earlier in the series before the last game blow out. Maybe they're too young and a year or two later and they'd have had this series by the throat. Tons of things you can say to defend OKC that isn't as ridiculous and vitriolic.

I can't imagine the relief he's feeling right now. That was a super entertaining Playoffs overall. Now on to the Olympics! You are disrespecting Dirk if you compare him to this arrogant piece of shit that LeBron is...

Lebron is no more arrogant than any other super star (including Dirk, and yes, Dirk is arrogant. He is supremely arrogant in his abilities as a player) and far from a piece of a shit considering he does more for charity than any other player in the NBA.

I don't know if you've been watching much of LeBron but he's definitely not as arrogant as you're implying. I thought OKC deserved it until playing in the finals. Sure, I thought some of the calls were bad, but OKC didn't play their best ball either.

I just don't get the James hate. I can get being pissed he's good and his team is stacked, but the personal attacks on him are so goddamn petty.

I'll give you that the other guy was out there with his excuses for OKC's loss (or for the reffing bias, though that one I'll agree to disagree with you on)- however I won't give you Lebron being no more arrogant than other stars. The press conference to reveal where you're going (and how you're fucking over the working class city that picked you up) is in my estimation the biggest shithead move in the history of sports. I'm actually desperately trying to think of something close so that my statement doesn't seem too grandiose, but I really can't think of anything comparable. The only thing I can think of that would be even comparable is if Drew Brees has a press conference and just up and leaves the Saints now while their dealing with all this Bountygate shit. He's the only athlete I can think of that meant as much to their city as LBJ did, yet in my wildest dreams I can never see Brees ever pulling such a low move- 'cuz he's not an arrogant prick. You can ask me to respect LBJ's talent, and though I think he gets way too much credit for things he acquires with athleticism, I'll give that- because at the end of the day he's still as dominant as can be. But the guy's a dick. also, I can't think of one top paid athlete that doesn't give money to charity. I don't give Lebron any credit for that. edit; if you wanna see a class act in the NBA, read up on Matt Bonner. The dude road the fucking subway to games when playing for the Raptors so he could interact with fans.

I'm actually desperately trying to think of something close so that my statement doesn't seem too grandiose, but I really can't think of anything comparable. And even in his most shitheel moment, the only reason he was doing it was to raise millions of dollars for poor children. Come off it. It was a tacky press conference for a good cause which, not only did he not profit from, all it did was hurt him and his image. The only thing I can think of that would be even comparable is if Drew Brees has a press conference and just up and leaves the Saints now while their dealing with all this Bountygate shit. If you can't differentiate Lebron giving 2.5million dolllars to charity at little to no profit for himself from what every athlete does as a tax break then there's no reasoning. Tell me who your favorite NBA player is and I'll show you someone who's a less generous person than Lebron. Also, to hell anyone for getting mad at him for leaving Cleveland. The only people who do that either A: Live in Cleveland or B: Have never been to Cleveland. Wanting to get away from a shitty franchise in a shitty city that wasted years of his life to go live in an actual nice place in south beach on a good team does not make him a dick. It makes him not an idiot. And he still gives excessive charity beyond his paygrade to Akron and Cleveland charities. He's one of the nicest dudes in the NBA and unless you just started watching last year, you knew that from his Cleveland days. Going to Miami didn't magically change him to a selfish dick, no matter how the media paints it. This time, 3 years ago, we all loved Lebron nearly unanimously. Goofy press conferences don't mean much about his character. I'd prefer it if you DID hate him for his game more than his character. The guy's a model citizen. edit: also lol holy shit the Drew Brees analogy slipped by me. I am a Saints fan, and have been for my entire goddamn life. Drew Brees is holding the franchise hostage to get the maximum amount of money he can squeeze out of the team. He is a symbol of the team but he's not Mr. Lovey Dovey New Orleans and he is most CERTAINLY one of the most arrogant pricks in football. He's a class act otherwise but this dude absolutely believes he's the best quarterback in the league and should get paid as much or better than everyone of Manning, Rodgers and Brady. Doesn't get more arrogant than that.
