Failed to call a good game. Failed to maintain a proper tone for the game. Inserted themselves into key situations. Intruded on the physical space of players. Got that specific jump ball call wrong. Confronted a player. Failed to ignore Rondo's rant (this and the following are terribly egregious, he could have just turned around and talked to the scorers table). Made exaggerated physical motions when calling Rondo's technical (basically goading Rondo). Turned his back on a person he just made angry (intentionally made him even more angry by the way). Failed to remove himself from an explosive situation.
If the rest of the crew was responsible, they would have ejected him from the game, not Rondo.
No offense, but this is the pros. You conduct yourself like a man and a professional. The NBA has strict policies on interaction between players and refs. Refs are supposed to ignore players if they get in their faces, and if the players persist they get hit with techs. That's just how it works.

Uhhh.. I dont know what you were watching but Ive looked at it like 20 times now, and he didnt even look at Rondo till Rondo went in his face. The second Rondo said something he turned around and called the T then he got bumped and ejected him. Nor did he stare down anyone.
Other bad calls aside. I dont see what you clearly illustrated in this case..Also Rondo did trip on his foot a bit, but he didnt exactly do anything to avoid bumping him or even appear to make it look like it was a mistake. He rode the trip and he enjoyed the bump. I can understand him being frustrated but he certainly isnt innocent of what he did.

Well after watching that video, I agree with the ejection, you can't intimidate the ref into calling it in your favor. Though, I hope he isn't suspended, that would be just stupid.

If you reffed/umped any sport you would realize there were like 20 points during the game and 3 points during that sequence alone where the crew/Davis could have prevented that ejection. These guys have egos that are way too big. They think they are part of the show, that's why umps jaw with managers then give them the "heave-ho" and that is why this problem started and got exacerbated.
