And I DO disagree with the whole mainstream movement going on in this thread. You know, there are so many so called "sports" out there that don't get the attention they maybe should be getting. There are so many, crazy, insane competitions going around the globe that we barely get to see. But I mean, even taking something stupid like eating X amount of burgers or w/e. I'm sure loads of people enjoy watching that, loads of people come out to watch it, participate in it. You know, I'm fairly certain that there are folks within these circles who try and push it into mainstream, or some extra publicity. But the real question is, should we though. Sometimes it's better to let it go it's natural course, and I don't advocate doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, but it seems to me like some people here are trying to hard to make it all professional and all they do for it is just go on the internet and bitch about how Cliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide is an annoying meme, and how it's unprofessional wearing t-shirts under your suit. Well, maybe someone should step it up and show US how it's done, because I'm really getitng fucking tired of these random comments that make no god damn sense, in the sense that this is not your fucking baseball, soccer, football, tennis sport. Don't you just hate when every god damn thing out there looks/sounds the same, follows the same pattern. People are so stubborn, they don't like changes, they don't like new things, always want to just stick to their old god damn habits. Well what if sc2 becomes the first e-sport to set a different commentating standard, what if there is no standard at all, to hell with you all mainstreamers.

Reason: I understand a series like this needs penalty points to discipline players, and I understand that if a player accrues too many penalty points then he will get kicked.
I've no problem with that.
What I really dislike, however, is the rule to link a lessening of the prize money to the penalty points.
What this does is give the series a financial motivation to hand out as many penalty points as they possibly can, because they will save money while at the same time being able to advertise larger prize pools than they actually end up paying.
Naniwa received 9 minor penalty points for a single missing replay, thats a 9% reduction in prize money. If GSL did penalties like that, then they'd save like 7800$ just for a single 9% penalty against the tournament winner.
This feels quite wrong to me.
Not feeling sorry for Naniwa very much though, his degree of BM is a bit too much.
What you post is very offensive to an organization. When doing so at least bother reading the topic before posting.
