okay that is pretty fail by Blizzard, they really shouldn't do these kind of mistakes >.>

Another player was offended because of this and reported you.
The violation was striked as stated in the terms of use.
I don't see an issue here despite that you made an error. Shut up next time and you will not be suspended. Simple as that really. Blizzard did the right move and I appreciate that they suspend guys like you who are killing fun for others.
ok
muppet, u didnt read op did you?
I was about to say my faith in blizz has been restored ... but no they fail once again. Harder than ever

I don't know what's worse, Blizzard's botched ban or this guy's post.
A whole lot of fail exuding from this thread.

Are there written the exact terms of usage of the b-net? Is there written that I can get my money back once i decide not to agree on terms of usage? i doubt it, therefore I am quite sure that this EULA is not legally binding (in EU no clue about other markets). They can change the EULA whenever they want, what happens then later? Do i get my money back?

I've been banned 3 times now for the most stupid stuff.
I actively ignore players in game now because even if someone is flaming you, responding to it may result in a ban.
Saying that, I do have a habit of calling people all sorts of ridiculous names if they get under my skin, but my last ban(which is a week ban with threat of account closure if i get banned again) was literally, just telling someone he was a fag and to GTFO when he was hiding buildings and talking trash. U mad bro? Yes I'm mad, now GTFO faggot. Now apprently im on Blizz's hitlist.
To the OP, one of the problems with BNET right now is I think that the game master type of support is absolute rubbish as they are probably inundated with false complaints, meaning its very easy for them to make mistakes, esp when the game support department took a big hit in recent layoffs.
My in-game vocab has now limited to "gl hf" "gg" "out" "lol", and it's lame. After wooping someone handily sometimes you need to be able to engage in a little bit of trashtalk(not saying get racist etc, more like banter), getting banned for that is just not cool.

To be fair, not reacting (even as a random teammate) is bad too. So the ban was judged. Like I would instantly react to that if it was on my team. and saying LukeVanGore: fukk u nopob gives you a even bigger assumption that u agree with your teammate, even if u don't.

PS if anyone has any real cool phrases to trashtalk without cussing post htem here. My one of the week is "you can leave whenever you wish".

Bnet is a online service just like steam or facebook. If you bresk the rules they have the right to ban you. It's nothing like owning a car. This is waht I am not agreeing on. I paid a product. I got to a shop and pay. It's mine. Once at home i discover (when the box is open btw and not refundable) that they force me to accept any kind of rules. A service (i.e maybe WOW) i pay on a regular basis as long as I am happy with it. SC2 I pay beforehand. So in fact for me its more like owining a car than a service. whether you like it or not there are rules (laws) for driving and owning a car Sigh, yes, but if I give someone the finger while I'm driving the cops don't take my license away for 2 days. Apple to oranges, guys. Back in the pre-brood war days "fuck you fags" was like "hihi! gl hf gg! " People need to learn when not to take things seriously.
People need to learn that some poeple do in fact take things seriously.
Just not act like a dick and you won't have problems with Blizzard banning your account. Easy peasy.

lol why are people even getting banned for bm at all... In Wc3 you can have as many accounts as you want and say anything you want as long as your not breaking a law. Sc2 is such garbage compared its not even funny.

I laughed when I got a suspension email for the following reason: "saying the same phrase more than once in a period of 30 seconds".
GG
GG
(no clue what the actual phrase was, but for all I know it could have been the above in response to a particularly belligerent opponent)

Quick rule of thumb: Would you get punched in the face by the guy if he stood next to you in the pub? If the answer is yes then you shouldn't say it.

I know that in some europen countries a lot of games EULA and TOS arn't valid. That said there have never been a disbute as far as I am aware. But one thing is sure. Whining on Team Liquid will do nothing.

I'll give you a hint: remove "out" and "lol" as well, and use "gg" only just before you leave the game...

In the street you'll get punched in the face for insulting somebody. Unfortunately that doesn't work online, so I'm pretty happy Blizzard does some virtual punching there.

I'm sad that we now live in namby pamby land where a little trash talking and hurt feelings and the kids go running for mommy. Unfortunately, I think blizzard sees themselves as liable in these situations and thus has taken a ban-first, ask questions later attitude. They are protecting their shareholders, basically. Sucks but it is the reality of our society.
Wrong. It's more like adults don't like playing with stupid, immature kids and companies are trying to grow their market beyond annoying teenagers. It's the biggest reason why multiplayer AAA-games are not growing as fast anymore.
Blizzard's mistake is banning the wrong person.

Lol they took you for the wrong guy? Haha, that's kinda funny :D
But yeah... Sucks but at least it wasnt any longer than a 2 day ban, you can live with that. Funny story you got now, though.
