However, shit can happen, I'd wait with a thread like this after you notified the service team about that false accusation and got their response, then again a lot people have this huge urge to post everything on the internet.

I'm sad that we now live in namby pamby land where a little trash talking and hurt feelings and the kids go running for mommy. Unfortunately, I think blizzard sees themselves as liable in these situations and thus has taken a ban-first, ask questions later attitude. They are protecting their shareholders, basically. Sucks but it is the reality of our society.

Its so easy to block people and set you on dnd. But yea the internet police is striking again cO (and people use maphacks and stuff great polcie :D)

Just contact them again if you feel like it's worth pointing out their error. Bnet is a online service just like steam or facebook. If you bresk the rules they have the right to ban you. It's nothing like owning a car. This is waht I am not agreeing on. I paid a product. I got to a shop and pay. It's mine. Once at home i discover (when the box is open btw and not refundable) that they force me to accept any kind of rules. A service (i.e maybe WOW) i pay on a regular basis as long as I am happy with it. SC2 I pay beforehand. So in fact for me its more like owining a car than a service.

SC2 is a service, Blizzard has just decided that you can make a one-time payment for indefinite use (and in most regions this is the only way to pay). This comes with all the pros and cons of such services. You get "free" updates through patches and if you violate rules you can be banned. Everyone knows this and you did too. If the ban was still in effect I suspect you could get Blizzard to reverse it, and if they refused you could probably get a refund if you were stubborn enough to take it to the courts. Obviously in this case Blizzard made a mistake. It sucks, but it happens. What do you want? For everyone to grab their pitchforks and march on Blizz HQ?

Also screens instead of the chatlog hmmm ... But thats something you write their support, that you aren't happy not getting any information (which will not change as bnet is free of charge), and that their reply took longer then your ban. But as you rant out here i am not suprised your email landed on the low priority desk. So i would say just bad luck, you probably had a few reports already if you said stuff you said you say on ladder ;p and your ally made the manner bear notice this pile and ban you along. The reason why the report took so long is easy, they didn't know why you got banned and the person who did is is probably in trouble now, depending how well worded your email was. Mistakes happen, and battle net support is really great compared to some services where you pay for.

Apple to oranges, guys. Back in the pre-brood war days "fuck you fags" was like "hihi! gl hf gg! ![]() People need to learn when not to take things seriously.

You can argue what you want but the box says it requires a internet connection and the ToS is standard practise for years now. You also pay for WoW and games from services like steam before you actually agree to the game ToS.

The violation was striked as stated in the terms of use. I don't see an issue here despite that you made an error. Shut up next time and you will not be suspended. Simple as that really. Blizzard did the right move and I appreciate that they suspend guys like you who are killing fun for others. Fail lol. Anyways, OP: That's definitely a problem. They should have only banned the person who actually wrote those things, not the allies. That's simply ridiculous. You have no control over what other person type.
