Well if you really show us all there is about this then yeh, that's some stupid mistake.

However, shit can happen, I'd wait with a thread like this after you notified the service team about that false accusation and got their response, then again a lot people have this huge urge to post everything on the internet.

I'm quite certain that blizzard is really afraid that someone will get "cyberbullied" over one of their products and subsequently hurt themselves. I'm also quite sure that this is the reason we don't have any real chat rooms or social networking stuff in-game. Blizzard is just doing what is expected; covering their ass.

I'm sad that we now live in namby pamby land where a little trash talking and hurt feelings and the kids go running for mommy. Unfortunately, I think blizzard sees themselves as liable in these situations and thus has taken a ban-first, ask questions later attitude. They are protecting their shareholders, basically. Sucks but it is the reality of our society.

This is waht I am not agreeing on. I paid a product. I got to a shop and pay. It's mine. Once at home i discover (when the box is open btw and not refundable) that they force me to accept any kind of rules. A service (i.e maybe WOW) i pay on a regular basis as long as I am happy with it. SC2 I pay beforehand. So in fact for me its more like owining a car than a service.

SC2 is a service, Blizzard has just decided that you can make a one-time payment for indefinite use (and in most regions this is the only way to pay). This comes with all the pros and cons of such services. You get "free" updates through patches and if you violate rules you can be banned. Everyone knows this and you did too. If the ban was still in effect I suspect you could get Blizzard to reverse it, and if they refused you could probably get a refund if you were stubborn enough to take it to the courts.

Obviously in this case Blizzard made a mistake. It sucks, but it happens. What do you want? For everyone to grab their pitchforks and march on Blizz HQ?

As u are insisting: While gaming I was 100% sure that the BM was coming form the oppenents as we we were winning easily. It in fact an answear to the BM. I play random and I am not always remembering all the names of players involved. In fact i thought they BM us for winning

you probably got reported as well along with your team mate, because your opponents reported you both, so its more or less their fault. But they should check if its a random setup team or not, before banning both players, guess if you would have reported your ally it wouldn't have happened. (also if they did a backcheck on your chats and saw bm too, sorry your sins aren't forgiven after a few days)
Also screens instead of the chatlog hmmm ...

But thats something you write their support, that you aren't happy not getting any information (which will not change as bnet is free of charge), and that their reply took longer then your ban. But as you rant out here i am not suprised your email landed on the low priority desk.

So i would say just bad luck, you probably had a few reports already if you said stuff you said you say on ladder ;p and your ally made the manner bear notice this pile and ban you along. The reason why the report took so long is easy, they didn't know why you got banned and the person who did is is probably in trouble now, depending how well worded your email was. Mistakes happen, and battle net support is really great compared to some services where you pay for.

Sigh, yes, but if I give someone the finger while I'm driving the cops don't take my license away for 2 days. Apple to oranges, guys.

Back in the pre-brood war days "fuck you fags" was like "hihi! gl hf gg! "

People need to learn when not to take things seriously.

So the moral is that you should report everyone you BM on the off chance that blizzard screws up and bans them instead of you.

To be honest, I'm surprised they ban anyone.

That is my point: there are laws. And guess what? these laws are NOT made by car producers themself. If you like it not or not.

All videogames nowadays have ToS you agree too. You can argue what you want but the box says it requires a internet connection and the ToS is standard practise for years now. You also pay for WoW and games from services like steam before you actually agree to the game ToS.

I don't see an issue here despite that you made an error. Shut up next time and you will not be suspended. Simple as that really. Blizzard did the right move and I appreciate that they suspend guys like you who are killing fun for others.

Fail lol.

Anyways, OP: That's definitely a problem. They should have only banned the person who actually wrote those things, not the allies. That's simply ridiculous. You have no control over what other person type.

this

I mean in general I get BMed every 3rd game I win. And at least in 20% of these cases the BM I receive is at least the same level.
Maybe I should start reporting people.
