While I understand that there's a need to discuss this matter, this thread has way too many trash posts in it. Please think carefully about what you want to say. Ad hominem attacks on Swedish people in general, calling you fellow Starcraft fans idiots etc etc will be dealt with with harsher punishment from here on out. Keep it civil people.

Page 230: Here's some more stuff that'll get you banned!
- Conspiracy theory mongering about MLG and GOM
- Comparing people to Hitler
- Posting useless one liners of arguments that have already been repeated ad nauseum.

Welcome to e"sports", we dont throw games. It wont be accepted.

I dont mind this, dunno if its cause of this episode, or if naniwa just had it coming after several awkward outcries <.<

Remember chill get out?
The MLG joke tournament?
The lack of gg in gsl vs fxo.lucky -> even though this is seen as mandetory
and now this.

u might disagree, but something had to be done. if nothing else this might inspire naniwa to learn a bit of "politics".
Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

thats was under KESPA too and nothing was done.

If i thumbs down you and boo you and your team many people will feel insulted right? you train so hard but lose aand still get BM... Should this be banned as it is abusive?

No, but you'd get the hate of alot of Nestea fans (who's very popular and respected)

This is obnoxious to me. It's the NFL teams job to play games, when it comes down to borderline playoff time NFL teams will take off their 1st string players and place in their 3rd, effectively forfeiting their chances at any serious game (assuming they have won their playoff spot) because their 3rd strings are that much worse than their 1st string. It's exactly what naniwa did, stop being narrow minded.

lol, why? match for nothing, so what the point to play it. In ma opinion naniwa had right to play it like that

for the people who were watching

because he was paid to play in the tourney and he knew he was playing 4 1v1 games

to prove he is better than nestea, show his abilities in korea after a series of disappointing gsl appearances and an 0-3 day to that point.

Soccer teams don't field their A team in non important matches. Don't pretend you know something about all the sports in the world son.

(Actually other teams pay them to "give their best" in non important matches when the "other" team thinks that the team without motivation to win will be good for them.)

Soccer teams dont line up their A-team, but still play and give a chance to lower level players to show off. Its not at all the same as throwing the game like naniwa did, no micro and all. Nani should have done a standard build and at least see if it was winnable, if not, then gg. But what he shouldnt have done, and will pay for it, is laugh at the organization.

ROFL. He isn't employed by Gom. He DID what he did and said he would do; there was a winner and there was a loser, and there is a replay and a vod to prove it. All he did was pull his workers.

You can't be fucking serious.

But where do we draw the line? How do we even decide if someone is doing something abusive and disrespectful? Its really subjective

thats the whole point. GOM is not clarifying and i am sure NaNi like many of us assumed it is okay. So now will people dare to 6 pool? if they are in tilt can they cheese and lose? is it abusive?

People need to stop saying "Naniwa earned Code S spot."

No he did not.

MLG Providence had no Code S seed. In case you didn't notice, there weren't GSL invites or Code A seeds either.
I know some casters were saying thing like that, which is why many people are confused.

He was, however, going be one of 2 foreigners invited for Code S.

Now, GOM has 'uninvited' him.

As it stands, Naniwa can still qualify for Code A like everyone else (*cough* Jinro *cough*)

So you buy GSL ticket for a player like naniwa? What do you do when he gets kicked out after round 32 every tourney? You just dont watch for 4 weeks? Sounds like a stupid move anyway...

Not really, it's just my way of retaliating against GOM by asking for my money back, which I will fully pursue. Of course I would watch all players but in this case, I'll just stick to the free-stream. GOM was wrong and I will ask for a full refund, which should be done due to consumer rights etc etc We shall see.

People are raging because Naniwa is a foreigner. If he was Korean, we certainly wouldn't have multiple threads over it let alone one thread with over 100 pages in less than a few hours.

yup
lets just ban koreans from na and european tournaments

that will make sc2 tournaments fun

Moreover the comment is perhaps the most retarded I've ever seen and that's saying a lot. GOM is going to great lengths to get foreigners like Naniwa there. And Naniwa's record in Korea is quite possibly the worst ever. It's like what is this, I don't even...

I really don't think this is an appropriate course of action. I'm 100% on Naniwa's side here. If he does a 4gate all in that takes 5 more minutes the situation is completely fine. :\

Agreed. And Naniwa is, to be frank, infamous for bullshit. If he had a clean track record prior to this, he would have probably been let off with a stern warning. This guy just doesn't learn. You could do anything, literally, anything except throw the game in such an obvious manner, and yet he chose to do so.

You could claim illness. You could cite exhaustion, very sorry to all fans who wanted to see the game, it didn't matter much anyway. You could 4 gate. But no, he had to have a brain fart.

So you prefer dishonesty and pretend over stupid but honest behaviour ? Good for you
