Some people shouldn't have kids. It's equivalent there, and it's Texas, so the guy's probably getting life in prison or the death penalty.
Was about to go edit that out. Should've looked over the post twice. But it still sounds like a pretty bad wording for "murder" though. Because that's what they did, in a exceedingly cruel way.

Some people shouldn't have kids. It's not a bullshit charge. If you read the thread, you'd find out that it's the equivalent of murder as a first degree felony. This is a much more serious offense than "attempted murder," and in conjunction with other charges will likely net the parents life in prison or death.

Because that's what they did, in a exceedingly cruel way. There's no reason for the charge to be murder, as the current charge is the equivalent of murder and is much easier to prosecute. Proving that the couple caused the child serious bodily injury which resulted in his death is a much easier case. There's no reason for the state to risk prosecuting the couple solely on murder since that's legally more difficult to prove here, and it would be no less grievous of a crime to the court.

This is really shocking, incredible what people out there can do to their owns.

I was so sad when I read through the pasted portions of the article. I wondered to myself, "who could do such a terrible act?". Then I looked at the photo of the parents and instantly thought, "yeah, that looks about right.". I am so grossed out my how terrible human beings are. If this doesn't inspire you to go out and be a better person to make up for these douches -- then please go get your head checked.

This happened in Texas, right?
Wow... they should be charged with first degree murder, IMO.
This is absolutely fucked. Torturing someone to death as a form of punishment. Continuing to feed someone while depriving them of water is cruel, and beyond neglectful. It's malicious and cold-blooded. This would be the type of thing a dude gets shanked over in jail. I for one, wouldn't feel sorry for him, either.
R.I.P. I feel so bad for the surviving brother... T.T

Only in Texas...
But really which one of the parents ever thought this was a good idea.
At least the other kid won't misbehave i guess it sorta worked?

Wow they left him in a bath tube when the police arrived? The level of stupidity here is unimaginable.

Life sentence minimum, if it were me I'd deprive the parents of water until they are just about gone, then give them some - and keep doing that until they are old and can't take it. But then again, that's just me and I'm pretty harsh. (I know this will get the inevitable "how are you any better" argument, but I don't really care in this situation)
It amazes me how depraved people like this are. Some people do some messed up shit... but man... this is just a new low.

What the flying fuck. He was 10 years old for christ sake. Wh.. W.. Why? Why would you do such a thing? Fucking retards -.-'
Fuck, I'm just enraged by this.. I really really hope they get the most severe prison penalty they can get, and live a long life in misery.

Wow so disgusting. this shit is why iam for torture as punishment. poor fucking kid. WRONG. what these people did is quintessential 'torture as punishment'...so u hate these people for their logic while espousing it yourself. Nice.

I hope they get max penalty. That's pretty much murder right there.
In Texas, unless stars align and they get an insanity plea in successfully, the bare minimum will be a life sentence. The max is the death penalty which is what most people are hoping for now (as am I). Even if it winds up being a life sentence, the other inmates will pull a vigilante move on them (killed in prison). It's rarely reported, but even in prison, a conviction for harming a child in anyway is severely looked down upon by other inmates and offenders are treated like garbage, severely beaten up often, and sometimes murdered themselves.

How is this not murder? make the crime fit the punishment, string these delinquent f*cks to the gallows.

I love this country but holy shit do we breed some stupid MFers... Honestly, there are some serious problems within the USA, but there are crazy people everywhere. Like Norway's spree shooter or the Train Bombings in London. I mean yeah, these people are absolutely messed up in the head, but it's not just the USA. I think that things like this just get more publicity in the USA then anywhere else, but it's still completely inexcusable and revolting.

I told my wife about this atrocity just now and she had this link for me as a response:

I'm going to go watch SoTG @ MLG now -- I need it as a distraction from where these stories have put my mind.

This is the type of behavior that half makes me think there should be some kind of rest parents should have to pass to be able to have kids. I feel bad for his brother too. Not being able to help him as he died, that's gonna be one for the therapist. The parents should have the same thing done to them except they should be offered oil to drink or something like that to taunt them. Just wrong.

These people are fucking stupid. They deserve to fucking die, seriously.

wow thats even worse than "our" second rapist. murdering a child in such a cruel way it disgusting
