If you read the thread, you'd find out that it's the equivalent of murder as a first degree felony. This is a much more serious offense than "attempted murder," and in conjunction with other charges will likely net the parents life in prison or death. Wow... they should be charged with first degree murder, IMO. This is absolutely fucked. Torturing someone to death as a form of punishment. Continuing to feed someone while depriving them of water is cruel, and beyond neglectful. It's malicious and cold-blooded. This would be the type of thing a dude gets shanked over in jail. The max is the death penalty which is what most people are hoping for now (as am I). Even if it winds up being a life sentence, the other inmates will pull a vigilante move on them (killed in prison). It's rarely reported, but even in prison, a conviction for harming a child in anyway is severely looked down upon by other inmates and offenders are treated like garbage, severely beaten up often, and sometimes murdered themselves. | ||
