I play Zerg and I'm still tired of that one. T and P can almost never take a third and ZvZ on it is pretty stupid actually because early pools are suicidal (instant scout) and hatch first is very hard to defend.
DQ they have already commented on so I'm guessing it's out.
I wouldn't mind having Metalopolis out for a season ... close positions are pretty silly and everyone has played on it way too much by now, just gets boring.
As a last one ... Slag pits seems pretty unpopular and I remember one of the new maps looking similar to it.

sure would be wierd if they had no balance changes.

Yay inferface changes, god forbid they spend time patching the game to allow us to watch reps with friends X_X. How does Blizzard prioritize their work? lol

I hope new maps are actually fun and have dynamic. Maps like shattered and slagpits are a real suck-fest. Its a wide open middle with a xel naga tower there. Is there actually a point to holding that tower since there is the rest of the map to traverse.
Xel Naga caverns, while probably (imo) one of the most balanced maps in the entire game, is pretty boring. Metalopolis probably has the most depth since there are both close-air and cross-distance spawns that allow you to split the map and harass both north and south poles with drops/air/nydus/prism what have you. Plus, having two xel-naga towers puts a little more thinking into what part of the map you want to take.
I like backwater for this same reason, even though backwater is basically metalopolis with high-ground naturals with higher-ground main bases with a few destructable rocks here and there. Its like they ran out of ideas so they dumped sand on metalopolis and put some ramps and shit everywhere. Not to mention that random high-ground pod that is at your 3rd, way to run out of ideas for map design. Tal'darem is probably a fan favorite since it provides alot of mid and late game options. Can't say that most people love huge maps though. It kind of ruins your ladder rythm when you are dumped into a 45 minute game ZvP on that map where the P basically just turtles the shit out of their natural and 3rd while the Z spreads creep all over the map. Seriously, I'm glad I'm not zerg. If I had to spread creep on tal'darem 3 games in a row, I might just punch a hole into my monitor. (I use to play zerg in broodwar, I think creep spread is one of the dumbest fucking mechanics in the game).
Last but not least, there is typhon peaks, which pretends to have the depth that metalopolis and backwater have. But lets not kid ourselves. Since each watchtower is basically a blink and a hop away from each other, they might as well just be one fucking tower in the middle since if you hold one, you probably hold the other one. How many times do you see a standoff between two armies on those two watchtowers? Rarely for more than 3 seconds, because one guy is probably running teh fuk away and the other is chasing him. I guess those destructable backrocks are kind of cool. I mean, if that hallway wasn't such a cluster fuck of vulnerability (low ground, can't change direction to protect different parts of the map easy) it might have some sort of dynamic.
Either way... please, for the love of SC2, make some cool maps.

I've seen it on a lot of streams but never had it myself. It happens depending on how long your friends list is.

Thank you.
You will find a 2nd .exe file in your starcraft folder called PTR test realm. run that to connect to the PTR server, instead of the starcraft II.exe file.

Thank you. Aren't you pughy from SCC? You can play me on PTR when it goes live if you want.

they better not ruin my MLG replay reviews because i still have a lot to look at and playing it from a previous version is f'ing troublesome

Will my input limit be > 0 now?
Did they remove the limit of how many people you can block communications?
Can people still drag you into chat channels against your will?
Can we actually have a way to play without any interruptions (do not disturb)?
Will people being set to busy mean they can't still check for messages in game (tournaments) ?
Will I be able to leave a custom game when the countdown has started and my opponent ditched without logging off battlenet?
Will it take <30 seconds to bring up a profile, because it was instant in the battlenet from 10 years ago?
Can we share and watch replays together? (It's kind of weird that you have to log on to watch them but you have to watch them alone, when this was a feature on the old battlenet)
Is there a way to close all dialog boxes (I see pro's getting pulled into so many the game lags)?
These are the UI problems that seriously need to be addressed IMO.

2-3 months? It's been in the game since beta. You probably only noticed it recently as your friends list got big enough for it to be a problem.

wow complaining about interface changes ... thats strange. Not that the interface people have anything to do with the balance team.

I hope there are some minor balance changes w/ this patch. I'm ready for a new metagame

I am seriously disappointed by the options that Blizzard is giving us. if they do implement these maps, they must keep Tal Darim Alter and Shakuras as well as increase veto. It is ridiculous how annoying close positions are in high level play.

They were talking about that feature since a year ago or even before that: "Oh yea, that, we will implement that sometime next year". A couple months ago, Browder (or somebody) said "Oh yeah, we haven't started working on it yet, but it'll get there sometime in the future".
So... realistically, I wouldn't expect anything until at least HotS is released.

That new "rush" map looks atrocious... Thanks a lot blizzard.

So far we are getting nothing... seems the PTR is nowhere to 'actually' be seen. :/
