I get free rice (I try to eat it only sparingly when I have to.) and filtered water from my house; Onions. Broccoli. Peppers. Carrots. Eggplants. Pumpkins. Zuchinni (sp?) Cherry tomatoes. Celery. Potatoes. Sweet potatoes. Apples. Bananas. Grapes. Kiwi fruits. Sometimes seasonal fruits like strawberries. Eggs. Yoghurt. Wholemeal cereal. Wholemeal bread. Tofu. (I eat tofu pretty much every day.) Soy milk (banana and red bean flavor.) Doo-boo (tofu sheets in a sweet vinegar.) Canned corn. Canned green peas. Tuna. Baked beans. Various dressings. Soy sauce. Pasta sauce. Soup powder. Curry powder. Dried herbs. 0kcal green tea. Sparing amounts of fruit juice. If you don't mind me asking, how much do you spend on food a month? I've heard that it's very cheap to eat in Korea. I usually spend around 100,000won (use XE.com to convert it :D) It can be extremely cheap to eat here if you don't buy your fruits and veggies from the big supermarkets (or you just eat cheap crap like ramen and kimbap.) I find that it's much cheaper to go to small market stalls for my veggies/fruit. A lot of imported items are expensive, but for things like pasta sauce, dressings etc it's not hard to find a much cheaper domestically made alternative. If you're a healthy eater then you can make a very nice meal for less than 3,000won. (Such as grilled tofu in a marinade with some steamed vegetables. Plus a yogurt and/or some fruit for dessert.) Fast-food is more expensive, but it's still pretty cheap to get a big meal. Eating out at Korean restaurants is the cheapest option though. Jesus ... 100,000 won is around 8,000 yen; I spend more on food a week. Every month I spend something like 35,000 yen on food, which is something along the lines of 430,000 won. My friend lives in Korea and apparently he eats out every day just because he's too lazy to cook every meal. He said that you can get a full meal for something like $4 US, or fine Italian for $15 US. When I go out for good Italian I spend $60-$100 US minimum ![]() I noticed when I visited Fukuoka that Japan is way more expensive than Korea. I really like it there, but I couldn't live in Japan because all of my hobbies are based there so I'd end up as a hobo. The last two times I visited I bankrupted myself in Mandarake within 4 hours and spent the next two days eating umaibo and drinking water.

None of us think much about the calorific etc. content of the food we make, but we all just naturally make reasonably balanced meals, probably slightly towards the fatty end of the spectrum though. for lunch at work I tend to get something from nearby, there's a place nearby that makes really nice salads.. in fact right now I'm munching on a smoked mackrel salad. About once a week I'll go to the pub. A weeks worth of dinners is something like: Shepherd's pie Sausages, random veg (carrots peas etc), onion gravy, and some form of potato - yesterday we had lyonnaise tatties. Chilli of some kind Roast gammon, parsley sauce, new potatoes A stir fry/curry when we're feeling lazy fajitas a meal out somewhere when we go out. Main problem is I drink too much tbh, way too much. I'd guesstimate about 10-14 pints, 1-2 bottles of wine, and some spirits (jaegerbombs or a cocktail party) a week. Also there is a significant amount of baking that happens in my house, and it's rare that a week goes by without a cake being created. If I had to restock the whole fridge it would be something like: Veg: Carrots Potatoes peas spinach onions garlic peppers Meat: sausages bacon turkey/chicken breast something interesting - a shoulder of lamb or something, maybe steaks. sliced ham + salami salmon maybe tinned tuna fish cakes dairy etc. Milk (semi skimmed) butter marge eggs Ingredients: cake stuff bread cheeses - blocks of cheddar/ fairly basic cheese and then something interesting.. I just this lunch bought a 2 kg brie. Almost forgot tea becuase it's so fundamental I can't imagine it not being there - massive box of yorkshire tea. Then alcohol: slab of lager slab of cider several bottles of wine

Big ass chunk of pork from Asian butcher (They let the blood out of the pig). Scotch fillets 2+ each time or what ever I can buy to get a bargain. Green Chilli Lebanese cucumbers Coke Cola Diced Bacon Pasta 25Kg of rice and buy again when I run out. Carrots Radish Milk ^ This is what I just bought for the week. I don't have an exact list because I buy what ever I see at the market, I'm Asian so I can stir fry all kinds of veggies ^^ Occasionally I get some cheese and caviars when I find some at a bargain but I have no idea how to integrate them so I just eat them with bread. I HATE broccolis, they have no taste what so ever and eggplant is a no no because its a bitch to cook properly.

At the moment, I don't have a job, so money is tight. I eat mostly rolled oats, eggs, spinach salads, tuna and some other stuffs. When I have money, I usually follow John Berardi's lead, but my favourite "snack foods" are 0 sugar fruit yogurts and salted cashews!! XD
