Well first of all maple wood and indestructible are a contradiction. Maple wood is destructible. Thus indestructible would have to be some undetermined material possible of infinite density thus you would be unable to ever pick it up and use it. 2nd of all just because it is yours or only yours to use, does not mean it will appear next to you it could appear on the far side of the universe. 3rd adding "only and exactly" does not make it no have side effects as you didn't specify HOW the wishes are granted. For instance I wish to fly could be granted by giving you wings. Or turning you into something that CAN fly. It gave you specifically the ability to fly and ONLY that , but the method is determined by the wand. Another example. I wish for 1 million dollars, and 1 million dollars from the local mafia appears in your hand, the mafia tracks you down and kills you. It only gave you 1 million, it did nothing else the mafia did the killing. It did not do anything unsafe, or dangerous to you.

Granted, you receive the exact wand you wished for and the Genie disappears. When you open your hand however, you notice the wand has wings and as it flies off you think you should have probably made your real wish a bit faster then that.
It's exactly and only what you wished for (after all, the only blue 12-inch 100 gram maple wood wands the genie knows about are the flying kind) and it's still yours - you just can't reach it to make use of it.
Now, not that I mind playing the evil genie on wishes like this - but what are you guys trying to achieve? Even if you somehow manage to come up with the perfect way to formulate a wish, all that does is ruin the game.

The wand being "completely safe for everything and everyone" does absolutely nothing, as any wish is unsafe to something (molecules of air might be disturbed)
