That's pretty much the future.. ActiBlizz: "STFU and buy our shit, or just STFU." Community: "But X problem is overwhelmingly bad, for everyone, and everyone thinks so" ActiBlizz: "I'm Riiiich Biiiitch!!"

I think only a major change in subscriptions or sales can have enough impact to make them reconsider. ![]()

How can this possibly be a bad idea, for any1 but the idiot trolls who never think their posts through? Being responsible for ones post fucking rules, finally we can get constructive posts in the forums, this should be implemented everywhere, especially in political forums. Brave and revolutionary move by Blizzard which will go down in history. Well done ! you gotta be kidding how bout gender or ethnic bias? how bout setting the wrong standard for future game forums? how bout kids who reveal too much online? did you read any of the posts? do you consider anybody but yourself in this? i think the absence of thought process before typing is exactly what you say the forums suffer from, maybe you could try it out yourself

Blizzard is saying that they don't want trolls on their forums even if it will severely hurt post count (trust me blizzard knows their forums are far from the most used ones) and this is the response. A fine goal to pursue and a great problem to fix. It's really too bad that blizzard doesn't have the proper education when it comes to handling problems such as this. Now I never post on the blizz forums. Ever. But I wanted to post now (not that I could cause apparently to post in that big thread you have to have an active WoW account) to throw my voice in with the others. After this change that is not something I would do. Therefor I will throw my voice in here instead (also quite unusual as I find more pleasure in reading forums then participating but the need is grave). The above and following statement is based on the firm belief that Blizzard has someone reading these forums (if they don't then they really should). I do not have a battle.net account with more then 1 game on it. I have created a new one with every single purchase. None of these currently have my real name. You think this will cut down trolling blizzard? It won't.

When I find retards on the forums I will silently wait, and find their address. I will hunt them. And then I will sneak into their houses, cut off their dicks, smash their computer, to rid the world of such scum.

CNN Head Lines: Three days after Blizzard implements Real ID on their forums there has been a huge outbreak of stolen authentactors from posters houses. Blizzard claims that they are not related.

Controversial comments are already made on blogs and sites with people's real names. If you ask me - this is a really smart move from Activision-Blizzard since it takes decisions like these to keep evolving the gaming community. This will definitely clean up the forums and add more maturity to most discussions. so you think it's a smart move to promote gender or ethnic bias on forums? how bout facilitating companies to easy spam people, how bout encouraging dangerous peoples habits ? the fact that "it's done daily" is the worst : people get murdered daily too you know face book is garbage, blizz got famous for being legit no lan, real id ... blizz is now solely a bang for the buck company now and you sir have not read any of the previous posts, check them out, it might help broaden your view (i doubt it though)
