But really in the end we will make 1-2 templars just to feedback ghosts and not bother with storm.Most of Terrans anyway have almost completely skipped Marines and marauders have enough hp to move out of such small radius.
Have to test going Colossi and have 2 templars for feedback only.

if he makes pure marauder you can mass immortals from 2 robos in no time and roll him. marines are necessary dps in the current build, so they'll have to have some mixed in which is where colossi or temps come in.

ALSO you could feedback and storm. yeh both! so crazy.

Pressing print screen makes the game take its own screenshot actually which gets saved as a jpg in a subfolder of your main sc2 beta one in 'my documents'.

Let r := the radius of the old psi storm.

Area of a circle = pi*r^2

% area reduction = 1 - (new area) / (old area)
% area reduction = 1 - pi * (0.75r)^2 / pi *r^2
% area reduction = 1 - 0.75^2 = 1 - 0.5625 = 0.4375 = 43.75%

Somebody test if speedlings can run trough a casted storm and still live..
I think they might make it.
IdrA: stalkers actually do negative damage. when you shoot a marine with a stalker it gains health.

I think the radius nerf may have been a bit too much. Protoss units have been getting the nerf stick pretty bad lately...

To be precise, Psi Storm only has 56.25% the area it used to have (deduction of 43.75%). I'm not going to let people believe it "only" had a deduction of 25% when that's terribly wrong >.>

It takes 2 seconds (4 ticks) of Storm to kill a speedling. Speedlings have a movement speed of 4.6991. I BELIEVE that is Matrices per Second; if so, a Speedling should be able to escape taking maybe only 1 tick, while the old storm would mean the Speedling would take maybe 2.

Zerglings, on the other hand, having a movement speed of 2.9531...Hmm. The old storm would cause 3 ticks to be taken, and the new storm would mean 2 ticks.

Note how WRONG a statement of "only 25% decrease" is. It's terribly wrong, and bad if people don't actually realize it. If it takes 2839473 times to get it into peoples' heads, so be it.

its cuz protoss is pretty good! lots of splash damage, and templar can be INSTA warped in with a storm already ready to go (with energy upgrade)

i play toss and think this is fine. it makes sense.

bummer. i hate looking like a moron.

over the past few days i've tried posting in the SC2 forums because there seems to be an oversaturation of new people posting solely in those forums, and i love the TL community the way it was before the beta came out, so i tried posting in the threads to help ppl out. such as how to deal with MMM+tank, or explaining why mass spine crawlers is a bad idea

BUT people who are new are very upset that they dont know as much about how in depth of a game starcraft can be, so they lash out with some pretty hateful things to say. i've been nothing but cordial in all my posts.

you however, called me a moron. ty. i will add it to the list of things i've been called the last 24 hrs, right along with "downs" and "incompetent".

and i've never told someone to stop talking. not my style.

That's not all we need to hear. Sure, you may have meant radius, but saying "It has 25% less radius," while being correct, does not exemplify just how much storm we're losing.

I've been using storm since the patch, and its fine. Just make sure you aim it well and dont let them run out of it so easily..
IMO its fine.. still does a shit ton of damage, you just need to use it correctly, having a few extra ht's just in case doesn't hurt tho
