[Q] Can a phoenix lift a sieged tank?

My simple question is, can a phoenix lift a sieged tank? I don't play protoss much and when I do I usually don't have a chance to go phoenix.

Lately I've been playing a lot of terran matches (usually zerg, but zerg make me

atm ) and I've been loving doing mech units. Tanks just seem so good right now, and I was wondering if maybe some type of phoenix mix could lift them up when they are sieged.

technically it should since it's not massive or a structure.

can't test right now

Phoenix aren't effective vs. T to begin with since the mass number of M&M are too much for Phoenix, unlike in PvP or PvZ where you can pick apart the units that matter to your opponent.

Yes the phoenix lifts of sieged tanks. Doesnt make sense to me because the tanks are grabbed into the ground and gravitational beam should not work.

Yes... but the spaceship warping across the universe to will a tank into the air did make sense?

The tank is not grabbed into the ground, it have just deployed stabilizing supports so that it can fire without flying backwards. Anything lifting it wouldn't notice the difference.

I don't know so much about grappled in the ground as oposed to just stabalized by outriggers, most industrial outriggers in my experience don't actualy graple they just provide wider/ larger base and distributed weight; not land anchors. Just to play devils advocate a bit there and suport the development team... graviton beam should be able to lift parts of earth as well only running into problems when the field whould be so large as to require more power then available to the small craft or channelable through the beam. sci-fi pseudoscience.

Do you seriously think the tanks legs are there to "grab" the ground?

it can lift a big hunk of metal into the air with a little sparkly beam but god forbid that metal put 2 stakes in the ground. fuck no.
