KHAN did what it needed to win on fair ground? Not liking the format is fine. This doesn't mean it was unfair, though- Khan won fair and square.

Just not a fan really. I've never really seen such a strange format. It's basically like tennis, with each set of games counting as a set. Khan won the first set 4-3, STX took the second set 4-1. Instead of playing a third set, they jumped straight to sudden death with an Ace Match to settle the tie. Khan won the sudden death match, so they take the series. Doesn't matter if you win 6-0, 6-0 in first two sets of tennis, if you lose the next three 6-7, 6-7, 6-7 you still lose the match.

That's why I think it's a bit unfair. It's perfectly fair. It doesn't matter if you win 4-0, or 4-3 it's the MATCH COUNT not the GAME COUNT that determines the winner. Hence, it's either 2-0, or 1-1 then super Ace to win the entire thing. If game count matters then the team that goes 4-0 wins the match and can get fucked over if the other team wins the other 3 games and more tomorrow even though they "finished" the match ala NORMAL PROLEAGUE RULES. What you people complaining about are asking for is a change to the fundamental way PL works. That would be stupid and unfair to the teams.

The entire point of a bo7 is to reduce variance and let the most skilled team win. You throw all that out the fucking window when you stage a bo1 as a tiebreaker.

What difference does it make? you do realize that if they used the old format the games might have been different, the preparations for the game would have been different and the outcome couldve been different. so stop talking bullshit like it matters. khan won, undeserved win imo but there is nothing to do about. i just hope that khan will get raped next round.

They had the country ranking and they are comparing it based on no. of gold medals.. But if you count the no. of medals won instead, the countries ranking will be different.. I'm neutral with this format, but just a little pity for STX as they played their best and showing some very nice games..

Yeah but that gets balanced out by having TWO BO7s before....

It would be freaking epic if they made them play a third round in winner's league format...

If you compare it to tennis it's like losing 7-5 in sets and THEN playing a tie-break. Just doesn't make much sense.
