I can agree to timestops idea of a postpone, but not that exact time. A later time would be more to my liking. Future, nice post. That is the right depiction. You have earned my respect for sure, as you are the first person who I might have foreseen possible bias (same team as chosen I believe), but yet being objective. I think the winner of this thread has to be you... Btw, we played 2 games on iccup the other day, your manner was very surprising. Refreshing.

That's it, I'm moving to GosuGamers. + Show Spoiler + no i'm not

On June 01 2009 16:45 nyoken wrote: http://qualify.us.wcg.com/?page=stem&view=schedule&stageid=2699 Is that not exactly how I said the brackets would be? This is the bracket glostik made after I made support tickets over 12 hours ago and after the games were already played. I am going to correct this mis-information one last time. Please read for God's sake and don't use a single case as gospel and attempt to make truth by repeating a lie. It's the same as saying: "It was cold out today, and hence, Global Warming is a complete and utter myth!" Repost from earlier in this thread: http://qualify.us.wcg.com/?page=stem&view=schedule&stageid=2621 - indicates: Lok-Yin Kwong (KawaiiRice) Vs Nick De Cesare (lastshadow1) Geoff Robinson (iNcontroL) Vs Geunhwa Ralph (lastgosu) http://qualify.us.wcg.com/?page=stem&view=schedule&stageid=2642 - the double elimination bracket for this tournament instead had: Geunhwa Ralph (lastgosu) Vs Lok-Yin Kwong (KawaiiRice) Nick De Cesare (lastshadow1) Vs Geoff Robinson (iNcontroL) Notice that the Single Elimination bracket does not directly lead into the double elimination in WCG USA. You can verify this one example at: http://qualify.us.wcg.com/?page=stem&view=event&eventid=1280 (and go through others at http://qualify.us.wcg.com to see this is the case that the double elim pairings are RANDOM). More examples that the double elim is random and hence your bracket assumption is flawed. I will be using just the first qualifier for this, or http://qualify.us.wcg.com/?page=stem&view=event&eventid=1277 for the first two, and http://qualify.us.wcg.com/?page=stem&view=event&eventid=1279 for a Starcraft flip example below (the first Starcraft qualifier since the original was moved): + Show Spoiler + http://qualify.us.wcg.com/?page=stem&view=schedule&stageid=2577 - Virtual Fighter 5 qualifier number 1 indicates: Raymond Teruya Jr. (raybladex) Vs Talis Baltgalvis (Plague) Dennis Shih (dennis0201) Vs cody koeninger (kod) http://qualify.us.wcg.com/?page=stem&view=schedule&stageid=2674 - Double Elim bracket has: cody koeninger (kod) Vs Talis Baltgalvis (Plague) Dennis Shih (dennis0201) Vs Raymond Teruya Jr. (raybladex) + Show Spoiler + http://qualify.us.wcg.com/?page=stem&view=schedule&stageid=2578 - Guitar Hero qualifier number 1 indicates: Annie Leung (Ecstacy) Vs Derrick Hoffart (Hoff07) Joseph Copus (CTrane) Vs Austin Throop (mrpulsar1) http://qualify.us.wcg.com/?page=stem&view=schedule&stageid=2592 - Double Elim bracket has: Joseph Copus (CTrane) Vs Derrick Hoffart (Hoff07) Austin Throop (mrpulsar1) Vs Annie Leung (Ecstacy) + Show Spoiler + http://qualify.us.wcg.com/?page=stem&view=schedule&stageid=2611 - Starcraft qualifier number 1 has: Daniel Eidson (nyoken) Vs Jacob Winstead (LzGaMeR) David Barr (Game) Vs Andre Hengchua (Gretorp) http://qualify.us.wcg.com/?page=stem&view=schedule&stageid=2616 - Double elim bracket has the positions switched (albeit the same opponents as it wouldn't change them every time randomly), or as: David Barr (Game) Vs Andre Hengchua (Gretorp) Daniel Eidson (nyoken) Vs Jacob Winstead (LzGaMeR) How many more examples would you like me to do to make you stop claiming you knew the exact brackets when you played? Let me know please, as you cannot predict a random bracket. The fact that WCG made the bracket as per your support ticket after you played it does not mean it is not normally random. To clarify, this does not mean that all of nyoken's points are invalid (I do agree that per the rules, his other arguments besides this do have merit), but to claim the exact brackets was known is nothing more than a blatant and obvious lie. I can't stand it when misinformation is used against others to vilify them and make one's own sleazy choice "ok".

MachineHead as a 100% neutral party let me ask. I understand the bracket does not tell you who your oppenent is but why did you not show up to find out? Maybe I missed it in all the posts here, but how did nyoken and chosen know to be online that day and at that time but you did not? Not knowing who you be playing should not stop you from showing up to find out. If you can give a valid reason for not being aware of the day/time the finals that I would understand alot more.

It's so weird how that works out. I would love to abuse the next tourney, do you guys think I can join your team? Machinehead you have a short and selective memory. Just because I choose to flame you for my own entertainment doesn't mean I don't have legitimate reasons to dislike you and the way you behave. Let's look at the qualifier in which I met you where you took a WO (fair enough, I wasn't there), and I very politely contacted you the next day. I can prove that I emailed you twice politely explaining the situation and asking you reschedule, and I have a screen shot of you on battle.net going off on me politely saying the admin said we could play our matches (which you later morphed into me saying the admin said we "had to play our matches"), and calling me a liar about emails, etc. I was polite as could be. I've been known to act like a dick here on the forum periodically, but most people who know me know I'm a reasonable guy who is polite until given a reason not to be. You gave me a reason not to be within the first 30 seconds of talking to you. So don't expect that to ever change. I'd never seen such vehement defense of an unearned advancement in a bracket, but that soon changed when you tried to steal games from Idra thinking nobody would say anything about it. You agreeing to postpone with Idra then taking a WO, being a dick about it and justifying it with nonsense like "i couldn't find an admin to approve rescheduling" when the rules clearly state you don't need one, etc. And then reversing your opinion when you realized you were getting virtually crucified for it. The fact is, you act like a complete jerk when you think nobody who matters is watching. You make sure though in 95% of your posts on this forum that you keep your little "i'm so good manner and reasonable" routine going, even though it's pretty shallow and the mask falls off every time certain people provoke you even a little bit. It's funny that you can't make the top 4 of a qualifier without walking over everyone in the bracket and yet have the audacity to complain when you get walked over. I feel bad for timestop having beaten machine and asked here to reschedule and getting one affirmative response being walked over. But then timestop is actually a nice guy who actually played games to get to the top four. You're you. And now you're accusing EG members of abusing the qualifiers? I'm lost. Since half of EG is already qualified for the finals not counting this qualifier, and of the other half one isn't competing or joining in this thread, we're left with one EG member who was eliminated in the round of 8 in this qualifier, and one who never agreed to reschedule anything and just did what he thought he should based on his experience with the first qualifier (which he has backed up with screen shots and multiple in depth explanations). Here's a BIG NEWS FLASH: it isn't lack of objectivity that has lead machine and I to the conclusion that you're a douche and that you have no reason to complain about being walked over. Your attitude and behavior are a direct and important factor in the situation. Just because we didn't reach the same conclusion you always reach (things should work to the benefit of machinehead) doesn't mean we're just on here trolling support for our teammates.

If you just read the rules you know when to show up. Nyoken beat me, 0-2 2-1 2-1. So IMO there should be no argument that he gets the spot. He played very well. GG's Dan. Then just don't show up today and give nyoken walkovers since he already beat you in what you both thought were the official games, and let him clean house with timestop and machinehead, as is natural!
