Kal > Fantasy Kal > Best Kal < Bisu ToSsGirL < Bisu July < Bisu Hwasin > Bisu Hwasin < BoxeR
STX 3:4 SKT-T1 -Some notable cases here where ToSsGirL will finally get an appearance only to be utterly raped by Bisu.... there goes the hope of my ToSsGirL fans...
-Bisu will ALMOST get an All-kill except Hwasin decides to stop him only to be STOPPED BY... BoxeR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kal > Fantasy Kal > BeSt (BeSt... what the hell....) Kal < Bisu (I will say Bisu definitely showed off his soon-to-be-possible bonjwa skills on this) by.hero > Bisu (I think it was good game though I was a bit sad to see Bisu lose this..) by.hero < Canata (Very unexcepted when I have given up all hope just to see Canata winning unexpectedly..) Calm < Canata (another nice match by Canata, very unexpected even in my own eyes..) Shuttle < Canata (Oh my!! good vulture play! [and poor Shuttle play] definitely a worthy ace match for SKT T1!)
STX 3:4 SKT T1
After a series of unexpectable performances, I would definitely say that today's matches MVP is clearly Canata!!! He literally took kills that Bisu and others couldn't have done himself! A 3 kill Canata... wow.. Bisu did get a kill from Kal in my opinion was a good game with Bisu's skillful defense! By.hero did well too but for Shuttle and BeSt... 3 words for you guys... "What the hell?"
Set 3: Kal <> Bisu Set 4: by.hero <> Bisu (based on popular requests and opinions) Set 5: by.hero <> Canata (I think was a nice match in my opinion!)
Basically except set 1, 2, and 7, I think the games were good today. Not perfect and not great but just good in terms of watching VODs while eating a meal or being extermely bored with nothing to do or trying to learn from the masters themselves with builds and how to do this and that.... Enjoy!!!

OP Final Notes:
Out of all my days while I OP matches on this forum, I never found such ignorance and whiners in this forum regarding how I OP. Sure I ain't the perfect OP and I'm sure there are plently of people who can OP better but I tried to OP as lively as I see fit and into my own style. However, it seems there are such people who just can't seem to understand my views and ideals that just had to ruin the entire purpose and need for an OP. Honestly guys, it was less than 10 minutes before the game and did anyone had an OP out???? Nooo, no one cared to make an OP even though it would start in less than 10 minutes, so I decided to make it for your convenience and what do I see here? Loads and LOADS of bses of my OP. Well you know what guys, why don't you OP yourselves next time and try to make as good or better OP than I did??? Try to wake yourselves 4 AM in the morning trying to make the darn OP but all I initially wanted was to LR.
You guys are right though, I am being a little bit over too much. It's the internet and I just woke up but still, if it wasn't for my 14 hour Jetlag I came back from Korea, I wouldn't even consider on waking up this time. So I guess it's good for you certain people because I QUIT as an OP and spending my free time to you guys!! Good luck finding yourselves a new OP or just freaking OP it yourself! God, seriously....
Fantasy plops down his rax at his choke and sends an SCV to scout (correct direction!).
Kal has taken his gas and has his core warping. His scouting probe meets Fantasy's SCV but can't keep it out of his main. Kal proceeds to scout incorrectly.
Bunky now doing some situps...he can only do about 4, lol. Really must be a b-team player in there.

Fantasy has his first tank out, Kal's shuttle just popped. Fantasy takes his min only and puts down two scans right away - could he be worried about some funny business from Kal?
2 reavers now for Kal! They are both very low health, but Kal keeps them alive with his shuttle. Fantasy makes another wraith!!! It narrowly misses the shuttle!!!!!
2 reavers down in Fantasy's MAINWHOOOOOA awful dud scarab.
This wraith is going to town..kills the shuttle and both reavers. Kal is in a bit of trouble now.
Kal now attempting to bust Fantasy's nat with a few goons!!! Fantasy pulls SCVs and defends with ease. He has a considerable advantage in economy by this point. He's just now building his first turret!
Wow, this is really one of the more action-packed PvTs on Andromeda I've ever watched. Neither player has massed much, on account of the constant action. Fantasy finally gets his nexus up at 3, once again it is behind Fantasy's CC (at top left, running now).
Legspeed done, forge spinning. Kal attempting to take top right, Fantasy tries to shut it down with vults but Kal brings in his main ball of goons to defend.
Massive pool of blue soup at Fantasy's ramp...he is barely holding on to that ramp atm. Meanwhile, Kal is mass expanding. Looks like he's found the top left expo - this is looking really bad for Fantasy all of a sudden.
Kal clears out top left. Fantasy is attempting some vulture harass to get himself back into the game, but Kal has wisely warped cannons at his top right expos. Where are the arbs?? Tribunal is up, but stargate is idle.
Fantasy has retaken his nat and is actually now having some success picking off probes at top right. Kal arrives with goons to clean up the vults there.
First arbiter is finally out - Kal definitely could have used some stasis in the last battle. Kal now has quite a few HTs and is loading them into a shuttle. Looks like a storm dropppp....
Storm drop empties 9:00, kills a few scvs. Fantasy countering with a massive vulture raid at top right...looks like Kal has enough cannons to avoid too much damage.
Kal has neglected mine clearing...looks like Fantasy is getting quite a bit of map control now. Another storm drop at 9:00, but Fantasy catches it and only loses a few SCVs.
Arbiter heading for Fantasy's main....there's nothing there!!! Recall directly on top of Fantasy's main CC, and it's a big one.
Fantasy retreats to handle the recal, Kal counters into his 9:00 expo. Lots cleaning out SCVs there before Fantasy can arrive...damn he has a lot of tanks.
I feel like Kal should have a massive advantage by now...instead Fantasy is somehow back in the game. He's now pushing towards top right.
Kal recalls in Fantasy's main, takes out the CC, then hits 9, but Fantasy pushes that back without losing too much. Now T pushing towards Kal's expansions in top right.
Kal finally adding in the gates he needed ~5 mins ago, and keeping 9 from mining with constant drop raids. Fantasy setting up shop outside top right nat, though, huge tank force. Kal cleans it up though, even after stasising the front freaking tank line. Should be Kal's game now.
Kal engages Fantasy's army but is forced back! Fantasy making nice use of dmatrix on tanks.
lol, zealots from that recall are still running amok in Fantasy's main...he has lost SOO many depots.
Fantasy is now close enough to top right that he can shell the min only there. Curiously, Fantasy has almost 0 saturation at his 9:00 expo.
Kal attempting to clear out Fantasy's army at top right....this time he succeeds! But not without losing many dragoons. Still, a more painful loss for Fantasy (many tanks). Fantasy now looks like he's running low on mins...he's taken top left again though.
Kal shutting down Fantasy's top left main expansion; Fantasy doesn't have much left and still no real mining going on at 9. T trying some last ditch vult harass, getting some decent probe kills, but he's in a rough position. Kal moves toward Fantasy's main and Fantasy gg's.
Kal and Best come out more or less even in a large skirmish, but Kal's ahead in econ so that favors him. Best in trouble unless he can hurt Kal's economy.
Another clash at thecenter bridge. Storms flicker and flashing around everywhere of the two mass armies and Red(kal) emerge as the victor of the battle.
Best hasn't touched Kal's economy all game, and Kal is now working on taking the gas base at 8. Another big fight, which Kal wins. This is over. And Best gg's.
On March 03 2009 19:07 29 fps wrote: best just isnt the pvp master anymore... what happened? he's dropping games left and right
Dunno about overall, but Best did nothing that whole game to grab an advantage. He counted on outmacroing Kal, but Kal managed to get in some crucial economy hits at just the right time to keep that from really happening.

If Bisu loses, I don't think seeing oov is that unlikely. Kal's PvT percentage is lower than his PvZ. Boxer seems a bit more out of reach, but who knows?
Well, we'll see. Bisu vs Kal will undoubtedly be a tough match for both players so anything can happen.

My thoughts are the coach will give hyuk a chance of gaining experience.
"You see, Hyuk, we don't actually care in the least about winning, that's why we sent you out. We're hoping that, in time, with more experience, you'll come to win at least some of your games."
It'd be cool to see him come in and get some key wins, if it came down to that, but it'd be cooler to see Bisu all-kill. (Of course, the greatest thing ever would be a Boxer Reverse all-kill, but that might be asking a bit too much).
daum sports has never worked for me anywhere i go on any different internet speeds, its such a peice of shit to watch. just buffers a few times then only plays the audio.
Really, on Medusa, with how much stronger Bisu's PvP is, it seems very unlikely Kal will win this. I do have to applaud the SKT1 coaches' decision to save IntoTheRainbow for last, to give the lesser players a chance to get a few wins.

recapping the fight fight. Bisu had used 3/4 of his probe to assist in with 6 Drag to defend the mass army from kal. At that time it got really so bad that bisu drag had all died while kal had 6 left.
dude that was so sick. i have no idea how he go so far out in front, i dont do toss. but wow. the way that shuttle sweeps back and forth over the reaver is just terrifying :O
OMGoosh Kim Tae yong had my heart pounding twice as fast for his dangerous Play. But great micro and his never die spirit show he's a class better than KAL>
Kal did good damage with his 4 gate, but he should have expanded after he picked off that shuttle. Bisu wasn't going to be a threat for awhile, but Kal wasn't going to be able to break him either. Understandable gamble on his part, though, considering it was freaking Bisu.
Alright guys... I'm off to early breakfast (seeing how it's 5:50 AM).... I'll skip this game and maybe next but I finally finish getting the OP all nice and done!
So thus, I made 2 additional poll!!! So PLEASE, ANSWER THEM!!!! (at least the last one...)
Hero taking the min only at 5. Dances around outside Bisu's nat, but runs away from Bisu's army. Mutas working over Bisu's 2 cannons in his main. Bisu fights it off with goon + 1 sair.
On March 03 2009 20:01 Orbifold wrote: Bisu gets great storm on Mutas, killing several. Bisu has much stronger force on the ground in my opinion.
' Of course he does, that's typical on PvZ if the Z isn't going for some sort of hydra break. Zerg doesn't really catch up army wise till later tech and defilers.
Hive coming up for hero, he is also finally building up a very large number of hydra. Bisu on the other hand has a lot of Templar energy out there at this point.
Lots and Lots of lurkers morphing for Hero, I think he's going to go for a drop at Bisu's gateways.
Bisu slices up hero's army with storms and pushes his third, but the attack is cleaned up. Bisu taking his min only. Hero trying to counter the min only. Shuts it down.
Great storms kill many hydras, then Bisu moves out towards Hero's bottom left base. Hero reinforces before before anything important goes down, then takse out Bisu's army.
Hero's macro is crazy right now, and I think he stopped an expansion going up for Bisu... but Bisu still has many many templar.
5 base vs 3 base is really good for By.Hero, and Hero is constantly attacking the army head on because he can afford to do so, not letting bisu push out.
HT only work till they run out of energy after all.
HUGE army clashes and Bisu does well to kill off Hero's army but he simply can't keep up 2 bases and to now 3 bases behind. All Hero has to do is keep making units.
Bisu GG's, Hero is the anti-bisu it looks like. Just like Bisu has Hwasin's number

Eh near perfect storms but Bisu didn't really do any damage, if you let the Zerg out exp you like that you're going to lose no matter who you are. This goes double so if the Zerg has good macro.
by.hero played so well. I think he could have handled the observer snipes much better. So many idle scourges. I think he could have also perhaps micro his army better I think since they kept running into the storms, though credits on Bisu part for the brilliant storms. by.hero responded well to the Sair/DT build, and his macro was brilliant. I think it's a deserve win =]
Hero's other matchups need work but this kid's ZvP just might be the best out there already. Ok, that's a stretch given that JD, July, and even the Maestro (yes I still believe he can play ZvP even given the recent 2 gate debacles) are still playing. But still, wow.
Well, the upcoming map IS chupyung, so a meching Canata could actually be useful. Then again, what the hell is he gonna do on Neo harmony if they send out anti-meching July
oh nvm so it's hyuk. Well, for the 324th time or something; the man's bound to succeed eventually!

bisu didn't really have a chance to do any damage because the mutalisks kept him in his base, then the threat of a huge army push or doom drop
hero had complete map control for almost all of the game, a storm drop was maybe the only possibility but he needed those storms for defense.

a storm drop was maybe the only possibility but he needed those storms for defense.
Not to mention that trying to do a storm drop with a slow shuttle on a map teaming with hydras + mutas + scourge isn't the best idea in the world.
It really was just a dominant game by hero: he had a game plan set out that would shut down Bisu's build and he executed it very, very well. Was a nice game to watch.
I really now have to hope that Stork beats Jaedong and By.hero somehow slips past Hwasin so we can see Park Sung Junior stomp Bisu in the OSL finals...pretty long odds though I guess on all counts.
Canata using the rax to give the vults vision, but hero doesn't have drones on those patches so the vults are doing nothing. Mutas on their way for hero.
Turrets + gols chase off the mutas, no real harass done at either base. Gets a couple scvs at the main, but that's it. Currently 2 base v 2 base. I think hero's trying for bottom right, though, tough to tell.
Hero takes down T's rax and prevents a scouting scv from reaching bottom right.
Hero picks off another couple of scvs, but loses an overlord. Canata finds bottom right with a vult, but doesn't pick off any drones. Canata moves out and plows through hero's high ground aided hydras.
Mutas are not being very effective. Canata's 5th and 6th factories are going up and he's ready to push. Hero is switching to hydras, which is a smart move, but it might be too late.
edit: Canata is pushing too early and he's losing his force. He should have waited until he got a couple pumps from 6 facts. I think this game is slipping away from him now.
Canata setting up shop outside the natural, hero trying to pick off reinforcements. Hero forces a retreat, took out a good number of units. Hero taking his fourth.
Hero has had some solid vulture defense this game, I don't think he's lost a single drone... and as soon as I say that he leaves his 3rd open and loses just about EVERY drone there
Canata tries for some vult harass, but is shut down. Oh, there we go, he shuts down mining at bottom right and picks off several drones. Still no tanks.
Mutas pick off the tanks, but Canata is still able to overpower him with goliaths. Mutas melt, the hydras are down. Reinforcements incoming. This should be over.
Hero manages to shut down Canata's expo attempt at top left, but Canata takes out most of Z's drones and pushes into the main. Canata secures top left, and pushes towards the remaining bases.
Hero hiding pylons all over map and requesting a pause.
edit: But for real, Hero had a chance there after Canata lost his first army. He should have gone for more hydra/lings because Canata was so gol heavy.
Hero pulls out a counter with a small group of muta, but realizes it's too little too late and gg's. Hey cool, we were wrong about Canata being completely inept.

it was an awesome game, hero had a great build, great macro, and great unit combinations and played smart.
bisu played amazing defense for like 15 minutes and came SO close to breaking hero's nat, which probably would have won the game. and bisu killed sooooo many units in his pushes, his storms were fucking amazing
I think Bisu vs hero was boring because of the one side rape. Bisu had never got any chance in the game. It was over when hero got the 4th base without any harass.

Fast +1 timing attack coming out from Canata, melts a bunch a mutas... heading for Calm's 3rd. Calm frantically morphs in 3 sunkens. I think Canata has enough to break.
Calm focusing on harassing Canata's army and doing a poor job of it. Wanders over the rines and loses 2 mutas. Canata hitting bottom left. There's three sunks + mutas and a pair of lurkers there, but it goes down.
Canata's army pinned it at bottom left ... but he breaks out. Calm at hive tech, and taking top right main. Canata with nice sized army, but needs to bring it all together.

Omg! Calm had the scourge but missed the dropship! Canata able to drop 8 rines at Calm's mine but now Calm's attacking natural with lurks, lings, and swarm!
Defilers den is up for Calm, and he's trying to establish a 3rd base at the top right. Calm is going for lurker/ling/swarm, but he is hurting economically.
Canata is flying a drop ship around, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it sneaks by patrolling scrouge while they are at one end of their patrol.
Meanwhile swarm and lurkers attacking Canata's nat with some success.
Crazy lucky dropships avoids the scourge and drops in the main while Calm heads for Canata's nat with lurker+ling+swarm. Vessels out, but Calm leapfrogs into the nat. Canata heading for Calm's main. Drop gets cleaned up by lings.
Canata forced to lift his CC, but clears out the zerg with bats and re-takes his natural. Canata catches Calm out of place at the zerg natural, and tears him a new one - not looking good for the zerg.

to be completly honest, person who does OP in RL thread should keep it as clean as possible, people who later on check it want to see the results and thats it, not OP's point of view of the games. I also don't get the whole predictions (which usually try to be funny/accurate, they fail both ways) and votes thing. but hey thats just my opinion, you are doing good job nevertheless.
In that case, I ask either of you to start OPing from now on instead of me. Really now, does it MATTER THAT MUCH I put all those ?s and !s to express my dramatic point of view?? Yea I know how people want to see results and not really OP's pov BUT that's what is in the OP, RESULTS! I constantly update it correctly and try to get the results and those guys can care less regarding my pov. Gosh, like you say, they just want check results so let them, don't try to say what they think when you probably don't know what they think in the first place!
Recommendation Games: - Hide Spoiler [Recommendations] - Set 4: by.hero > Bisu (Although Bisu have lost that game, I will admit that he did try and it was actually worth of watching.... Same with by.hero, props to him for taking down Bisu! Now... GO WATCH!)
As for rest... I'll think of them and consider them later... I only said Set 4 b/c SOME PEOPLE LOVES TO CRICTIZE THE OP ABOUT THE RESULT SECTION AND HIS OPINIONS AND IDEALS.... gosh... honestly now... I'll just quit being OP and I'll see you guys make the same quality or better OP than I do... seriously...
wait, what? You dont take critisism quite well do you.
edit: Yes you do a good job of updating it, thanks for that, but we just point out what feel are mistakes so you can make an even better job of making ops in the future
Wow, Canata is playing really well, at one point I thought his nat was lost to the defiler/lurker/ling attack, but when the camera panned back (he sent his army in toward Calm's base), his CC was intact, and the attacking group was gone.
I think the OP did a good job Plus he used his free time to add something to TLNet. As long as the results are updated as they happen I think it's fine..

I'm simply responding your critisism in my own way of critisism. If you don't really like it, well, OP it yourselves...
Canata worst mu is against Protoss, his best is against T so Hwasin would have been a bad choice. Against zerg he has played two games, so he is already warmed up. The best choice was to send a protoss, i think they did well.
On March 03 2009 21:18 Scorch wrote: Why would you send out Shuttle when you have Hwasin, July and Notice warming the bench?
... because Canata is terrible against Protoss and Shuttle doesn't completely suck. Canata's only respectable matchup is TvT so there is no real good reason to send a T at him, its that Flash vs Piano syndrome you want to avoid.
On March 03 2009 21:18 Scorch wrote: Why would you send out Shuttle when you have Hwasin, July and Notice warming the bench?
Canata is bad against P.. July is Z, Hwasin T, Notice T.. i think it's jsut a bet by the coach.. I dont mind sending july in, cos at least it stands a chance more than sending Notice and Hwasin in..

What, are you illiterate? This reminds me of the occasional times Corinthos would get criticized for his stream being laggy even though everything he was doing was out of his volunteer time.

lol agreed.. there always ppl who complained when they get free services.. imagine in old folks home, u treat the ppl there good, and then their sons or daughter complained and sue you..

Hmmm yea o.o
You do have to keep in mind, however, that 8 of those losses came against Flash, Leta, Mind, and Hiya (who seems to be very good tvp). He did lose to Boxer though, and I remember it was due to him simply not knowing how to defend vs harass even when he had the advantage. Canata's style is kinda like Boxer's, I think? So Canata definitely has a chance.

how about you read my post again, especially the end. i stated my opinion, didnt tell you what to do, and moreover said you are doing good job, becouse you are. WTH is wrong with you people
i am noob at pvt so i just saw that canata repair the depot while the goons are killng them, does this always happen in pvt or canata's timing was abit off?

It always happens when protoss goes 10-15 gate, it takes a bit longer for Terran's first tank to get out then Protoss's first couple range upgraded goons. There is always that kind of tense moment.
Man... nice vulture play coming out.
PRO-TIP FROM SHUTTLE: Dragoons provide excellent mine detection by walking into them.
On March 03 2009 21:34 rushz0rz wrote: Wow Shuttle... ever heard of... cannons?
That's EXACTLY how Boxer won against him. Shuttle basically was up 2 expos, had a huge army advantage, but never built any cannons and Boxer just vult harassed to death. And he still hasn't learned hahaha
On March 03 2009 21:34 rushz0rz wrote: Wow Shuttle... ever heard of... cannons?
I never understood pro protoss reluctance to build cannons at their expo's, is it really that much of an investment?
I don't think it is. A cannon isn't too expensive, if it saves 2 probes you are good. Plus you don't need to keep troops back to defend and can focus on offensive tasks.
Shuttle gets a really nice arc on Canata's vultures and takes them out before tanks can engage, he ends up doing way more damage than I expected. He is still done for.
This is so good for Canata. SKT-T1 had so much expectations for this guy and he's failed to live up to the hype. This is really good for his morale. WL rocks

and canata won lol
if you are referring to my post, then you fail to see the difreence between complaining and constructive critism/stating opinions
And Canata carries the SKT team on his shoulders again!
...wait... what?
On a serious note, very nice performance from Canata tonight, overcoming an amazing 1-3 deficit all by himself. WL produces win streaks from the most unexpected players >_>;

Well it's a balance between doing it your way, and doing it the way an OP of a match should do it, since it takes some responsibility as many people will read it. But I think it's fine just the way it is now (better now than with the !?!?! anyways).
Omg, I can't believe I'm happy that Bisu lost today. Otherwise we wouldn't have gotten to see this.
To think that SKT's strongest three were eliminated, and then Canata came out to win the series from 1-3. Must be the first time this has happened for SKT. Now people can't claim that they're being carried by only three people.
Enjoy the spotlight Canata, you really deserved this one.

what we really need is creating copies of oov and boxer's brains and implanting them inside of our young players. canata was the next big thing before best was the next big thing. but it seems that the next big thing for t1's farm system is a constant mirage.
On March 03 2009 21:46 Athos wrote: @OP--Next time you make a topic like this can you not post a spoiler in the recommended game section....seriously?
You might want to just use this and stop bitching about it. Seriously, all threads like this one contain the player names in the recommended games section, no point in asking such things.
What i love in Canata is that he looks like he don't care a shit about anything, just sitting and chewing gum with a badass look-alike, he knows who is the daddy here. Unlike Fantasy and Best who look like they are scared of everything with excuse faces.
Canata used to be pretty good in Proleague for a while. Not that I would exactly have expected him to do a three-kill, but I can't say that I am that surprised. He is actually good, except for his inability to finish some games he should have won a long time ago (which he then proceeds to lose), so I guess he kind of lacks a killer instinct.
Yeah i remember oov said in that interview that canata is too passive. Sad had so much hype before.
I remember canata used to tear apart pgtour and he would always be #1 in interteam rankings but he could never get rid of his problems with nerves. One of the failed geniuses. I think once he gets going hes a very good player seeing his 10 game winning streak in tvt before in proleague and today but once he falls he falls hard.
Wow @ the hero vs Bisu game. The zerg for once looked like it could deal with the toss ball head on and then some! I like hero's macro style I bet Bisu must rate his macro a 10 in that game :D

*edit* also I consider this an insult somewhat...
sounded like some good games, great comeback SKT1.
To OP, you really gotta chill out man. You act like thirty people in this thread specifically attacked your family and pride. All they(2-3people?) said was they wanted it to look a little cleaner and no spoilers. They all mentioned you doing a great job. Don't freak out so much dude.
Wow i went to sleep when skt sent canata lol. Good job man at least you are making your way back. And about the OP drama, i ve seen worst. People: stop complaining about spoilers here. This is a LR thread: L I V E R E P O R T = everything is spoiler. Quite sure if the op was staff nobody would have made a word about it.

Haha I just watched the vod. I'm soooo happy for Canata. I love when less famous players win like that. They don't care about the -_- face or whatever, they're just fucking happy and they show it. It's so much nicer to watch than Bored_Flash or Pissed_Jaedong doing their usual stuff. SKT fucking rocks. Keep it going Ko In Kyu~~
I can't seem to find the reps on nevake or the vod upload thread. If anyone knows of where I could find them, could you give me a pm? Maybe there's even a link in this thread but I'm not reading anything past the first page so the results aren't spoiled. xD

Ugh, why must STX be at the mercy of a batshit insane coach? I can understand having confidence in your weaker ("developing"?) players and giving them a chance to prove themselves, but that's what the first two slots are for. Shuttle was an awful choice for a closer.
