It was an all-in build. He cut probes and gas to get 4 gate pumping that fast. After his first wave was killed he had no chance unless Child fucked up anyway. He can't just expand or continue on from that position. Young's game costing mistake was letting the zerglings in to see the 4 gate. If he had kept the ramp blocked Young could have got another round of production before being forced to attack and possibly broken the front for the game win. | ||

I agree with your analysis except for one point. After the initial attack, no number of waves of zealots could possibly break the position. Even though teching or expanding would have been terrible, it seems to me like it was the only way he could have gotten any shot at winning. | ||

He needed to keep pressure up to prevent Child from making mutas. | ||
