The only thing that could beat Best's Macro is a graded push 200/200 and hope that Best threw away units too carelessly. That's what happened - Best traded armies and his macro was slightly off, and the second army didn't come as quickly (probably because of the fifth) and Skyhigh was able to shut down expos and take the game.
The opening builds were also a good choice on Skyhigh's part.

Tasteless also noted the lack of Observers - the downside of Pusan dark-style.

Skyhigh played no Sci Vessels no upgrades (well, very late upgrades) and it looks like he found something that works well against traditional play on Medusa.

the main 2 big battles were in SkyHighs favor. After the second main battle skyhigh managed to sneak his tanks towards one of best expansion, i dont think best was aware of this coz he didnt have an observer there. Best lost his nexus and at the same time lost all his probes transfering to another nexus. Thats why he lost.
Both players macroed equally good.

he also didn't micro his arbiters enough, and then built too many gates, so he couldn't use all of them. I think he ran out of gas becuase of how his tech ended up working out.
Also, his early game push with goons+reaver didn't work out, and then best just didn't look like he knew how to play the map.
so: more micro, less tech, better timing. Skyhigh also played like a relative beast, and happened to look like he was everywhere.

From what I've seen in his TvPs so far, Skyhigh is insane with his vulture production. He 'lost' that huge battle but had enough vultures macroed to not only save those tanks, but to put pressure on Best's new expo.

Skyhigh double expanded very quickly, and best had a reaver harass that didn't do nearly as much damage as it could have. Late game skyhigh was always well seiged and never had his tanks sniped out first and BeSt stepped on a lot of mines while shifting his army around.
I don't agree with the poor arbiter micro, he only let one die once he was already doomed and had some good stasis.

Is it just me or should tasteless just stop always trying to predict whats gonna happend all the time. i know he knows sc and he is awesome, it just makes him seem less good when he has to correct himself all the time when things go wrong, which is pretty often nowdays.
|
That was really impressive... Skyhigh just reinforced after the big battle and went all the way to the exp whiteout getting spotted by obs or being intercepted.. The nexus was dying before he reacted witch was devastating..
As tasteless is saying he had way to little obs... Then a big bunch of probes was caught by vults so that was it

He'll be feeling SkyHigh if he can beat one of the BeSt.

alright, next game up- skyhigh at top right, best at bottom left

I actually think Best could have won that first push if he just dropped his drop force onto the Tanks. He would have broken the wall no problem - there wasn't even turrets either.

Skyhigh top right Best Bottom left. No proxy for either so far.

Basically what happens when you push for quick arbiters off of 2 gas.
I'm surprised terran hasn't exploited this fact more often when protosses go for quick arbiter tech. Arbiters cost so much gas they can't use it for anything else.
Skyhigh with AWESOME play there, massing vultures in response to the arbiter tech.

skyhigh called the goon count, and was just prepared for the build. he had good tank placement at the front, and he also refused to take his 4 tanks away from the front, and somehow best didn't do enough damage.
