hades<leta Appetizer game between the rookies of the 2 teams. I'll give the edge to Leta for being on a 8 game wining streak lately. Although Hades doesnt exactly suck though. Leta 60%:Hades40%
stork<luxury Samsung's slumping/choking Toss vs OGN's best player. It doesnt matter how long Stork practised for this game, he will choke. Nobody is expecting him to win. Luxury 65%:stork 35%
TT/jihyun>fake yellow/zeus 2v2s are so random Samsung 55% : OGN 45%
FBH>go.go go.go is outclassed, both in TvT and ceremonies. Im expecting FBH to take this game EZ. FBH 65%: go.go 35%
Jangbi>chalrenge Jangbi is definitely the better player, although we all know how badly he can choke on the grand stage. If all goes well, Jangbi will take this game. Jangbi 65%: Chalrenge 35%
Juni, yoon<flower, spear Flower/Spear are definitely the more experienced team. Although 2v2s are so random, its hard to tell. 50%:50%
FBH>Luxury FBH did it once, he'll do it again! Although I doubt OGN is stupid enough to let Samsung snipe their ace player, we'll most likely see a toss mirror matchup between the 2 teams. If it goes FBH vs Luxury though, FBH definitely has the edge.
Looking forward to this, trying desperately to get the Daum thing to work, but it keeps buffering every 7-8 seconds, making it irritating to watch. Gotta hope samsung takes this one home
Stork's gonna win and prove y'all wrong. Birdtoss is back - he avenged his 2-0 to Backho in the GOM by 2-0ing him in the WCG and now he's gonna snipe him a zerg for the trophy case.
so funny 2 days ago I called my ISP and screamed about how my internet is inconsistent and choppy and that after four years I am going to switch unless I see a dramatic change immediately.
I swear to god YY.com hasn't lagged more then 2 seconds since then ...
Yay, TvAnts (via VMware Fusion) refused to give me any video, but after 5-10mins it asks me if I wanted to open the stream in Windows Media Player. I click yes, and the stream loads instantly and with no lag edit: Can you make WMP to TvAnts default viewer somehow?
HAHAHA FBH saying how weak his ceremony last year was (he took off his shirt and danced in a tube thing). I think we can expect great things from him if he wins today.
Yaoyuan works WAY better than Daum. Dunno why I never tried it before. Prolly got a million chinese hackers taking my infos now though. And I still dunno how to run it thru WMV.

I just realized how fucking effective it can be to put some spore colonies up as zerg vs terran. Those vessels really can't move in as they wish to. Especially if some of them were plagued, the spore colony could easily rack up 2-3 kills the moment the Terran player looks away from his vessels.

Hades played BAD, i don't understand what he was thinking, obviously he was caught a little bit off gaurd by Leta but really,... not progamer level at all.. Also he completely bypassed midgame which i don't know what he was thinking, his muta harrass did no damage, how did he expect to defend his expo? He had nydus yea, but no units.
this is looking more and more grim for Stork, lux has a very good economy, and more bases then stork, so stork better start doing some damage, or atleast get that island expo up asap
Lux with a healthy amount of devourers. He's using scoruge/devourer like one would use zeal/dragoon. Pulling back after all the scourge die and engaging whent he next batch hatches.
lux should really consider getting some defilers, plague + darkswarm would maybe help a bit, and he must have ridicolous amounts of gas, since he keeps wasting it all on scourges :D

This cannot possibly be what he looks like with real preparation. That is all. I think he must have expected his mass hydras to be a much more effective counter to sair/reaver.

You should go Pro, you seems to know much more than them!
How's he supposed to know what ratio of carrier to arbiter to reaver Stork would go? Lux goes for a shit load of devourers early and stork would then just go reavers and prolly storms and Lux's money is down the drain.

don't be stupid, you know it's right
he had the greater spire earlier on but he tried to fought it off with hydras which constantly got dwebbed
And with his 16 hours of playing everyday, hydras at that time is probably what he has had most success with.
I think its well established that Luxury plays hydra on andromeda theres even a number of replays (not to mention vods) showing off this style. He's had pretty decent success with it though!

Those 5000 scourge would work very well against Reavers and Storm, indeed. Hydras are extremely good against Reavers and Storm as well.

This is the reaction I had as well. Psychologically you'll never go devourers when you're getting so beasted by reavers. That said, Lux could have just held his hydras back - or gone for a break instead of trying to defend his stupid expos.
awesome commercials in between games.. Was a entertaining game to watch though, almost every zerg unit except ultra got used, and you dont see queens in everygame either. After lux lost his 9 oclock expo, it all went downhill

Of course you do when its because of the Dwebs, which comes from corsairs. Devs > Cors, enough said
You dont get raped by reavers if they have to walk out from storks main to yours......

I'm pretty sure Stork had enough reavers at his main to prevent a break though
In sair/reaver, a zerg player has to cut down as many sairs as he can early on, bit by bit either with scourge or hydras, and keep the p from taking the island expo too fast.
In that series with best vs july, july made a shit storm of scourges and always kept best in check.
The moment best tried to leave with sairs, he was immediately scared away bt the mass of scourge, by the time he had enough to sair to kill the sairs, he was forced to retreat to fend off a drop. At this point july had a strong eco going and best was forced to get a mixed combo of units since his 3rd gas was delayed against a pure sair/reaver army.
Playing zerg is pretty much all about pressuring your opponent, you can't really win a turtle war with either races by being equally as passive, luxury doesn't seem to have a real depth of ZvP intuition to match the appropriate game flow he aims to dictate, this game just showed how fucking off he is with his timings, such a shame.

how to fuckin reduce the number of sairs when stork is keeping all of them in his base?
Jaedong vs Stork game 2
Sickest muta/scourge rape timing attack ever.
But then again, that maneuver is quite risky and your timing has to be absolutely perfect.
But on a more specific answer, its not impossible to lower storks sairs count even when he's in his main.
If he stays too long without any harass, the zerg can capitalize on that passiveness by just getting a stronger eco and matching the right flow of units by the time he does get out
Such a great music... for those of you who doesn't know, the music that is played during a proleague win (over another team) is Chariots of Fire theme by Vangelis.

It's very simple.
You either go the July 05 way, which is muta scourge and muta his cannons, scourge his corsairs and finish it right there, or you go the Jaedong way and burrow Hydras to snipe the reaver shuttle and then macro the poor guy to death. You can even do it July 08 way which is awesome beyond words.

Yes sure, but this situation wasnt similar to the last game. And in July vs Best, Best was running around over the whole map with his sairs, so July could scourges them... Luxury did react wrong when Stork stayed passive thats for sure. But just saying "reduce the amout of sairs" when there is hardly anyway for Luxury to do that, is just stupid. 8[

(1) FBH did not seem all that awkward. He actually seemed quite sure of himself and given that he had just destroyed his opponent he came off as badass. Also, the crowd loved him, which justifies almost anything. (2) FBH's parents are probably pretty proud of him, given that he's a nationally (correct me if I'm wrong) known figure in a game that takes strategy, intelligence, very good reflexes, and a whole lot of practice.

I meant more that a significant portion of South Koreans know who FBH is. Of course Starcraft devotees everywhere know, but even among Koreans who don't follow the game all that closely he's well-known, I believe.
Well.... i wanted OGN to win but, Khan winning this time is good too. It would really suck if they lost twice in a row (stork syndrome anyone?) All of their aces won just as they were supposed to. A cinderella story falls short but at the same time its still a feel good ending.
It was a great experience seeing this live i must say. I've seen about 4 Starleague finals live (and numerous other matches) but the Proleague Grand finals.... man its just on another scale of awsomeness.
Every final I've watched live ever has been a disappointment, at least with proleague (i'm learning) the number of different players + maps + games is more exciting ... although I hate the 2v2's .... ZP vs ZP .... I vote for Random vs random 1:1's instead .... or team FFA's ...
FFA's with 2 players from each time, you can't ally but you try to win or help your teamate win without really being able to work together much....
I believe FBH is tied with jangbi for number of PL wins for samsung... and there was that one time where he won 2 TvTs in a row and won samsung the game. So I guess he deserves it.. :/
It's one thing to not GG as the loser of the game, but it's flat out stupid and immature to hide a pylon to drag the game when it wasn't even a close one. Chalrange played like shit, and his shitty attitude made him look even worse.
Luck? Stork really owned Luxury, but if he had won that game, which was far from unlikely, the outcome could've been alot diffrent. The first two set were very important for ogn, and they didnt quite manage.
Them getting to the finals is hardly luck though. If anything their opponents played worse than they could, but that's not to take away from ogn...

Ace- FBH vs Luxury- FBH has a killer TvZ and has recently beaten luxury on othello. OGN doesn't have a protoss to send in Ace, so FBH can take anyone who comes out. Jangbi/Stork vs Luxury would be too risky for Khan unless Stork can pull of a decisive win on Andromeda.

Hiding a pylon in a professional televised sport and refusing to say gg is an insult to everything StarCraft has become. I was really annoyed to see that, but I very much enjoyed the rest of the event. Say what you will about FBH ceremonies, but hiding pylons is bullshit 50 APM useast crap.
No sympathy for Chalrenge after he did that. He embarrassed his team and I hope coaching staff puts him in line for some punishment.
wow chalrenge looked put off all game by FBH's ceremony or something
effective strategy! demoralize opposing team by doing a brash ceremony. chalrenge lost his cool
im really glad jangbi found that last pylon fast enough..if he had to search all over..can you imagine the game going on for like 5 more minutes while searching for pylon? that would be a giant mess
he really disappointed so many people with that..including his team. sad
It was a victory for OGN to even get this far. No one thought they would make it past their first match, but they did. Good for them and good for KHAN.
u guys, FBH threw RICE at gogo's booth, not cup cake or anything. the commentators clearly said that. haha (it's something like a pun, commentators were saying how FBH will eat him like rice, and koreans eat rice 3 times a day haha)
Chalrenge hiding pylon.. That's something that bnet newbies do. I hope Chalrenge get punish for his action by the coach or KeSPA. That was very unprofessional.
Other than that, the whole series of games was great. Nonstop action! Even the TvT wasn't about taking entire map and camping for 30+ minutes.
That was disappointing from Lux. However it doesn't matter that he lost, since OGN didn't stand a chance against Samsung, especially with that lineup. Samsung vs SKT would have been x10 times better series.
Anyways, glad that Samsung won. OGN is probably the team only team I kinda hate. Too many players I'd rather see lose, no matter who the opponent is. Shine, go.go, chalrenge, Justin, Terato, Cloud... I wish Leta and Lux would leave to another team so I can fully hate OGN Sparkyz.
