All those 3 things are arguments that prove my point. Try reading the interview again. GOD.

Game 1: - Knows not to engage the first blocked-in cannon and lose his lings, but instead take out the forge/pylon and check for proxies. - Chooses not to take out the proxy with his lings (and probably lose most of them, leaving himself open for a counter), instead waits for his mutas. Game 2: - Drone drill. Then doesn't back down at ALL, going pure lings after, knowing he can win it right there. - Chooses to take out the nexus while a cannon is morphing right next to it. I wouldn't have thought of that or been confident in how long it would take to kill it. To July, it looked just like "omg this stupid 3x3 building is blocking my way to slaughter the cannon". Game 3: - Loads his overlords, flies over to the island, and then aborts when he sees it's adequately defended. How many zergs have you seen get their island drops totally smashed, probably thinking "well, I've come this far..." - The second island drop... I thought he'd get smashed again, but he proved me wrong by actually doing a lot of damage with it. Maybe none of those individually are that impressive, but the consistency of his good judgment really struck me. The only thing that would've looked like a mistake was in game 3 - the hydra drop into Best's min-only, but I think that was more due to Best's great reaction time with bringing in his reavers and corsairs.

He said he now realizes that winning doesn't mean he is the best (which IMO is the attitude to longevity). Finally he said he'll challenge himself once again by picking strong terrans in the next OSL. Which part of that says anything about Best? I looked over Best's run: Beat a wonky Nada in the qualifier, went all the way to the semis playing only PvP, then ran into a ZvP choker who had the series won more than once. Seems to me like July was his one real OSL challenge, and he got curb-stomped. Sorry if he's your fav. I am. No sarcasm.

Huge early-game pressure +1 air armor scourge + hydra + drops defended +1 air attack corsair & 6 reavers +2 air armor muta + scourge countered +2 air attack corsair reaver sunken + OL at every expo defended dark templar shenanigans timing guardian pushed back a super strong mid-game ground army by taking out critical reavers ultraling swept up everything else -.- Wow, July had a huge economy and army advantage the whole game and didn't screw it up! Gosu! July was in a strong position the whole game. He earned it from good meta game sense and and strong maintenance of his advantage, but to tell me I should be in awe that 24 ultralists and 50 lings + hydras and scourge can beat 24 Zealots and a few templars... Common. If you didn't know July was a HUGE favourite win that game in the first ten minutes, you don't know StarCraft. Just because July isn't a dummy who leaves his expos undefended when he can afford to put defences up at all of them doesn't mean BeSt didn't play badly. I mean for fucks sake, how many DTs did he lose to static defence? Take a page from BiSu and keep your DTs alive for as long as possible so they can constantly be annoying, or at least regroup with your main army. Obviously BeSt was busy with his macro when it happened, but it's still not a result of July being amazing when BeSt suicides a DT into static defence.

God I'm not even going to bother, because if I write how July got some joke-like games against fucking BackHo and Rock (lol) i will have the likes of you jumping all over me. I try to write non-insulting posts trying to get my point across but people misinterpret them (on purpose or not who knows) so much it makes my head hurt.

Agreed, July in that game had a way better game plan than BeSt, maybe BeSt was too conservative because of how games 1 and 2 went, who knows. But BeSt definetely had better micro than July there (cept for his first sairs). His storms were better, i mean july didn't even split his guardians or lurkers, and the one big flank he got was when BeSt made his last attack with like 12 zealots and 1 archon against like 10 ultras + lings + lurkers.

I don't feel like rebuffing everyone of your arguments. Suffice to say there were a few instances in the game where Best was really strong, just that July had an answer for him. The guardian counter to those reavers hiding in the middle of the P army was just dropdead sexy.
