Player introductions: Honestly do these players really need an introduction? This is going to be the battle between the hottest terran on the scene and a zerg who was once on top of the world. I really hope that Savior can step up his game and gift us with good games. You can never count out the Maestro. It would also be interesting to see Flash's TvZ more. The wins he had against Jaedong were creative and non standard. It would be great to see his standard play which we hopefully will in this series.

Saviors play in this game seemed very impressive, he had such big armies AND controlled them very well. Flash had great unitcontrol, too but saviors macro kicked in, so....... I am hyped now for the rest of the series.
Flash looked really weak there. He looked like an average terran, not a rape machine that he has been for the past month. Is he taking these games seriously?

Flash's micro was pretty bad that game. I was actually surprised how sloppy he was.

This could mirror game 2. Same builds, Savior with the early gas for speedling rush. Oh looks like he got lair first. Savior adding gas at the 2'nd nat. Going 3 hatch muta again obviously.
This time savior decied not to go for the speedling rush. He is not applying any pressure.
Savior expanded to 7 expo. Flash with 6ish rines there attacking hatch get taken out by lings.
Savior meanwhile has done some decent damage to the nat w/ muta harass. Now going for a mutaling attack, it is undefended. Savior's lings get cleared by returniong mnm, mutas fly away. Not much damage dealt to Flash there.

Savior got Flash's first vessel which was already delayed by the harass. Savior will have defilers and guardians and Flash will have at most 2 vessels.

HOLY SHIT. Flash with 5 , FIVE dships unloads on Savior main. Lings Flank the droship but there are too many rines! Flash takes out the Ultra den {just morphed) and 2 evos but looses all his troops.
Flash kills the new 10 oclock but gets repelled by a beautiful plague at 3 main again. Vessels get taken out there as well. Man Savior is playing TOO well. Ultra den up at the natural.
I take it back, the greater is alive. Flash i going to win this game. 2 more dropships heading for the main. They are cleared but Flash has a ridiculous amount of vessels (10?).

It was Saviours game to lose around ten mins in when that muta harras came in, but around that time Flash pulled his finger out, problem was there wasnt much more that flash could give.
Was expecting for saviour to roll the floor with flash after that muta harras but Flash just kept fighting
Man those drops by Flash (at least the first one) really threw sAviOr off it looks like. Still though, that was a crazy close game. If he could have taken out most of those vessels with a plague and muta or hydra near the end, he probably would have won. He lost so many Ultras to irradiate near the end that probably would have won him the game.

Game winding down now. Savior still hanging in for a while but Flash has 4 bases. Oh and here is the GG from Savior. Flash gets the bathroon break for physical refreshment and spiritual and mental rejuvination.
Savior completely ignores the fact that he's got a sci vessel problem. he should have kept pegging away with his muta harass when he was killing all of flashs depots.
Not aggressive enough at all in the early game for my liking.

While Flash's main army was heading to take out the morphing 6 main, Savior counterattacked with his main force at the nat of Flash where he suicided his army and did minimal damage. He was never able wo win a battle against Flash from there on

Maybe saviors pool before hatch doesnt pay off in mid/late game. When he builds those missing drones during muta harrass, flash uses this little time-window perfectly to move out and pressure.

Nice comeback by Flash, the better player always wins the Bo7, they should use that format for finals, however Savior showed good play and won the Bo5 ^^
Yeah now I really wanna see the first three games as to how sAviOr could even manage to come close of beating Flash with the poor play I've seen in the last games. The last games seems like sAviOr makes it even easier for Flash to beat him even after getting a fair early game advantage and then throws it away. Hmm I wonder if it was rigged in any way as some suggest.
I'm still satisfied the way Savior played today, it shows that you can't count him out yet, he just took the three first games versus the best player right now.
Seemed like Flash adjusted, let Savior build up and advantage and took advantage of the centre + dropship in the later games, starting especially with his multi-dropship craze in game 4. That seems to have irked Savior so much it jostled him out of his "standard" play by game 7. Anyone else see the same thing?

Nah i still don't give him 1 % chance vs Jaedong in Bo7 , maybe 20 - 25 % in Bo5, and 50/50 % with Katrina in a Bo3 , thought seeing a 5-6 base Jaedong losing to a 3 base Flash on Katrina to a mech build is kind of sad for me as a fan , but with the new maps this season and hopefuly Jaedong practise vs mech build he should dominate...
I think that flash would really win jaedong currently if put in a BO5. Flash's confidence has been on the rise and his play along with it. I hope flash just completely destroy jaedong in every match so that Jeadong DIES!! god i hate him.

You do know in other parts of the world Saviour is a legit spelling like colour for color theatre for theater behaviour for behavior favourite for favorite

yeah sure even though they are 5-5 in their last 10 games and flash is 4-2 in their last 6 games

Don't get me wrong i aknowlegde Flash is strong in TvZ and has the potential to win games vs Jaedong , but seeing how he was outplayed 1-3 in MSL , with only the first game on Katrina , i don't think he stands a chance vs Jaedong in BO7 , not much chance in Bo5 and a good chance in Bo3 , some succesful cheesses and mech builds won't change my mind , takeing 3-4 games from Jaedong in a series is hella hard for anyone at the moment especially terrans.

I don't think flash threw any games except possibly the first one. Flash looked noticeably annoyed after his second and even more so after his third loss. Its possible this was faked but i really don't think so. Flash caught on to Saviors game and found his own rhythm doing things like for example scattering his vessels realising that plague was a key aspect of Saviors play and a main contributor to his defeats early on. He then shifted into a more dropship heavy game and just as i predicted before he did it Savior has had a really tough time coping with that style of play recently. And of course when the mutas arrive you know Savior has expanded and you have a good idea where (on Loki 2 i knew he would expand there i'm sure Flash did too then all you gotta do is knock it out and it is GG.
Wow just look at that low confident Savior, he really doesn't have the spirit of a champion any more. I hope he gets out of his puberty soon so he can start gaining some self-confident back.
I must say though, that all the games were freaking insane, best ZvTs ive seen in awhile.

1) There is more than one letter spelling between joe and joeje, not like i was calling Savior Saviourrers

"Mispelling" is incorrect, but "spelt" is perfectly acceptable.
But anyway I was surprised by how well Savior played overall, looks like he might be returning to form. Flash played pretty damn well for the most part, did some very nice drops on Ungoro and Tau Cross.He managed to keep more vessels safe from the dreaded plague in the latter games and his insane number of marines kept all expo's and units in check. An enjoyable series imo.
Just watched the series. That was awesome. I haven't seen Savior play this well since Shinhan2. I hope he comes back next season and this wasn't just a one time thing.

I think if you look at the maps TvZ stats it will paint quite a different picture -- Zergs have a very hard time against the kind of Terran ball that map can produce so quickly. Jaedong won that game because, as he has proven across plenty of maps, his late game is just better than Flash's. I think sAviOr should have gone defiler also, but his multitask is obviously not at Flash's level so I doubt he would have won -- the Loki game was very close and Jaedong was not dominating at any point.

Game 4, I thought Savior had it until the drop . Game 5, Terran drops on Tau Cross doesn't seem fair and Flash abused it well.

it would be unfair if every zerg expo can be defended using..... drones alone :p
game 4 was ridiculous, flash lost SOOOO many sci vessels he doesnt even care.... the way he camps sci vessels above zerg hatch was like... "hey look, come bomb me you douche!"

sAviOr did very good in all of the games, I don't know why he played the way he did the last four games, he had them in the bag each game and for some reason just threw it away -_- something tells me he just doesn't have the motivation anymore
This series had such an amazing opening, yet disappointing ending. Savior played like it was 2006 in the first 3 games, but his BO/strategy in the last 4 games was very weak IMO.
Flash was a bit cocky at fhe start but after getting a drone rush lesson from the greatest cocky bully of all time his play came back to its best self, which was incredibly solid.

Stats says only so much since strategies change. Flash does the drop different. He does it late when Zerg loses all the mutalisk. The cost and effort to stop it is incredibly high. That 1 defiler that is force to defend could be elsewhere on the offensive. 1 defiler can be the difference between winning and losing such as Savior's push at Flash's choke.

I think if you look at the maps TvZ stats it will paint quite a different picture -- Zergs have a very hard time against the kind of Terran ball that map can produce so quickly. Jaedong won that game because, as he has proven across plenty of maps, his late game is just better than Flash's. I think sAviOr should have gone defiler also, but his multitask is obviously not at Flash's level so I doubt he would have won -- the Loki game was very close and Jaedong was not dominating at any point.
Yeah i completely agree that Loki 2 is ridiculously tough against Zerg in both match ups as well. During liquibet i ran a never vote for Zerg on Loki 2 no matter how big name they are policy,in fact the bigger the better,and gained many ranks in the process. But late game that balance shifts against Terran and possibly even against Protoss as i feel defilers are just so effective (ofcourse requires great micro). I was very disappointed the Loki 2 was the last game to be played i knew Savior was going to loose and in exactly that manner too. Put on a better show than most Zergs bar Jaedong at the moment though i feel though i only watched it once live with a bad stream and couldnt be bothered to watch it again.
i only saw first 3 games...muta micro was FULLY sick, lurker usage was sick, swarms were kinda :/, i think alot of lings went to waste aswell, but was awesome
Because Flash has momentum? He's been winning so much lately, its much easier to calm down and refocus your strategies than for Savior, who is in a slump. Its the mindset. That and Flash has an amazing amount of skill, and hes been growing in leaps and bounds. All he had to do was get one good game in and he was rollin- thats what happened. Hard fought games, but I knew it would happen. You know what they say, the longer a game goes- or a set- the more advantage the better player has. ATM thats flash.
