I couldn't tell whether this was Ample being a bit wasteful and not focus firing things correctly like at the 5 'o clock, or Soulkey defending very well. Still it does feel like bullshit Terran seems to have no tools to break through Zerg with such an overwhelming advantage. Think it was mostly Ample being wasteful. Better Terrans would have closed the game out way earlier with that lead. I'm not sure but maybe making 12 Firebats would have helped. Anyway can some Zerg specialists here give an analysis as to how Soulkey lost the game? Eon where are you? It feels like during the game most of us were so sure that Ample was screwed once he got soft Lurker contained, and when the dropship was caught by Muta, and when the first Terran push was destroyed with Guardians,... but then Ample basically just retreated, took a base, another base, macro'd up and attacked and attacked. In Artosis' words, he just made units and attacked lol. For me it feels like Soulkey was being too fancy with his build. Lurker, then back to Muta, then Guardian and Defiler at the same time. Like a little bit of everything, enough to surprise the Terran but not enough to actually fight back let alone kill him. That's why he spent the whole game defending.

The mine explodes and the ling makes enough distance so the ling doesn’t instantly die. 2.: Spidermines can friendly fire. This includes other mines. When more than one mine is moving close to each other if one mine decides to explode first it can take out other mines near it. Those other mines will sometimes look like they also exploded but in reality they were just killed and they don’t do any damage. So if 1. and 2. happen together than it might look like the ling survived two mines exploding in its butt.
