unbelievable. Soulkey is simply a bonjwa level right now. So absurd how good he is. Didn't even break a sweat and the one game he broke a sweat was the 9 pool vs 8/10 which he shouldn't even have been close to winning but he still made it a close game. Dude is unbeatable.

Sharp had a chance in this game, but losing that first push was painful. In the quarter or semi-final interview, I forgot which, Sharp said that he finally learned to stop doubting himself and attack decisively - kind of seems like he got overly eager and it worked against him here. He just was not precise enough to find a weakness in a titan like SK.

In Soulkey's defense, if we consider the start of his ASL16 season, he has been the best player, both online and offline (or at least, one of the best online players since him and Light sort of alternate as top dog in proleague), since August 2023. That makes it over a year where he's been the best player in the world. Bonjwa has usually been given out once a player has crossed the 1-year threshold of being the undisputed best in the world, which in my opinion, he's achieved. I know the era is weaker, but we can't defined every bonjwa by the era, otherwise some bonjwas just wouldn't exist, like we can't say Boxer's era was a competitive as say Flash's era for example. But that doesn't stop Boxer from being a bonjwa.

Anyways, I'm just tired and ranting, but I just think that SK deserved to be labelled as such as this point for the 3peat. I would love to see him beat FlaSh in the Ro16 and coast to another title next season to cement my opinion though.

If we look at all events/matches registered on ELOBOARD Soulkey has been dominant since ASL15. Everyone was expecting Soulkey to win ASL15 once he made it to the Semi-Finals, but JyJ peaked out and played the best TvZ ever maybe. Soulkey's been near the best if not the best since ASL 15. Also I think this Era is stronger than Kespa. Players are older but have 12+ years of extra experience going through all sorts of new metas and developing all sorts of new skills and improving them.

SnOw and Light are the only two other competitors who could've made a claim for Bonjwa status if they had been a bit more consistent in their ASL/SSL results. Outside of ASL/SSL they've been about as good as Soulkey since 2020/2021.

This was probably Soulkey's best tournament he went 15-3 (83%) beating Rush, Light, and Snow, and Sharp along the way.

Soulkey is pretty much Bonjwa at this point. Dude looks remarkably strong both in ASL/SSL and in the daily proleagues. Congrats to him.

The bigger question now is, he definitely doesn't need money now right?

doing the math I think he is on about 80% of his needmoney goal. Taxes, daily expenses, monthlies all slow down the progress.
