Flash is playing like an absolute trash compared to his standards, and has been for a while now.

Fun fact: the last time Sharp and Soulkey played a Bo7 was the finals of KSL Season 2, where Soulkey also won 4-1.

This series had so many heart break moments.
Sharp losing a game that was almost certainly won, the vultures running behind mins and getting caught, siege tank donations.

It should have been at least 3 wins for Sharp

game 1: soulkey makes sharp look like a noob
game 2: rooting for sharp, to give soulkey a worthy win. And what a razor sharp game 2, such a good game
game 3: another nail biting razor edge game
game 4, on kick back: Sharp bamboozles soulkey with a lack of wall, was that on purpose? Soulkey in return, great sunken placement prevents the vulture to roam for long, But then, suddenly it looks like there are no goliaths and soulkey hangs out in the natural for what feels like ages. Almost snipes the CC. Sharp showing is why not to click on the CC. THen at his move out, why doesn't he take a fourth? Why not splitmap north south?
game 5: 8 rax cancel bunker y? Why does sharp cancel the bunker here? Can't hold it vs the lings? It took a while before they were there. He gets just one drone?

The series felt closer than the score reflects. Prediction: soulkey will loose zero games in the top 4 of ssl2.

People keep talking about tesagi and how the maps are so Terran sided, but it seems like Terran players (other than Flash) literally cannot beat Zerg players, and only a handful can beat Protoss players. Heck, Protoss players can't seem to beat Zerg either. Congrats to Soulkey regardless, he played very well and definitely earned the championship.

This is outright false. Soulkey is warping the image of Zerg, just as Flash did in the past ("tesagi").

Sharp beat Hero in the ro8. Barracks beat hero in the ro16. Light beat Jaedong in the ro24. Barracks beat Queen in the ro 24. Rush beat Sacsri in the ro24. Royal and Sacsri are tied 1-1 in the ro24. Sea beat action in the ro24. Other than Soulkey, the only ZvT match that ended with a Zerg advantage in the whole tournament is Queen vs Wico (1-0, ro24).

Sharp beat the 2nd best active zerg in Hero and the maps were T favored this time as you can see from the qualifiers: a ton of mediocre terrans got through and almost no zergs. That left only 5 at the round of 24, in which 4/5 lost leaving only Jaedong and the two seeded zergs. Terran was overrepresented until the ro8/ro4. They're doing fine, but Soulkey is a monster.

Ro24: 11/24 T, 5 Z
Ro16: 8/16 T, 3 Z (2 from previous seed!)

Zerg were just 7 out of 28 this ASL season, with Terran making up the most with 12/28.

4 terrans made it to the ro8, only 2 zergs...

Honestly this level of delulu is pissing me off.

In an effort to stop SK, they have made anti-zerg maps this season. Ironically, this has helped SK, because other zergs were indeed stopped, but not SK, so no ZvZs, and we all know the only way to stop SK is ZvZ.

If they make anti-zerg maps again next season, SK might achieve a four-peat.

Dont forget two of the best zergs are not actively competing. Larva is practicing to get back into shape but isnt there yet. Soma is doing military service. Soma was ranked and regarded by pros as the best zerg since 2020 and was in online on par with soulkey up until he had to leave. The zerg talent pool is overall still very strong with mostly strong zergs, but only one true breakout zerg in Soulkey. HerO does not compare. Pros were saying Soma was likely to win ASL 15-16 with how good his online form was at the time.
