I don`t understand Korean maybe because its a korean tournament with korean sponsors, korean commentaries and mostly korean players etc.?? meanwhile jaehoon won against forgg to make it to the finals of group 6 (vs. modesty or huro) - hopefully jaehoon manages to qualify, i would love to see his famous arbiter micro in a big tournament once again ![]()

If this is supposed to be Korean closed tournament whey they stream it out side of Korea and why they do English streams for the finals.

Because in Korea, players are known by their name, not their nicknames as we do know them. Imagine a US tournament using real player's names ![]()

And it would be better for the ESPORT as well as it would improve the popularity everywhere Cadenzie should ask them for us, kindly as she is there :p

It is MESSY to romanize. I've spend couple years in Korea during the past 10 years, even studying at the university's language school for some time. And I cant read romanized Korean, because it is plain weird :D Trust me, if they did that, no one would be happy (and you sure as hell wouldnt be able to search for that). Qualifiers are not done with english language and commentators. Maybe lack of interest, maybe something else, but it is what it is. You do have people in this forum who do translate and explain, so if you were interested in who is playing, you can get an answer rather quickly, even though its not the same as you being able to read it yourself.

After all these years, I assumed the "omfg it isn't english" shit would die.... guess not. Btw, if you don't know your favorite players korean names, in korean, you aint no fan. I can spot Hong Jin Ho or Lim anywhere, anytime and I know zero korean. Congrats to all of those brave enough to play. The qualifiers have terrible conditions and are often much harder then the rest of the tournament. All you non-koreans who played - you have my respect. Facing these guys offline would be terrifying.

Sounds like excuse for the bad coverage of the qualifications.
