Due to the Battle.net chat bug and 40-man limit in chat channels, we highly recommend that people join our Discord server. This is free and can be used straight from your web browser (NO installation required!). Joining the server will allow you to find your opponents easily and ask admins for help. Click here to join the Discord server. You can ping admins by typing @admin in the chat.
Rules
Location - EU server, channel TLOpen
Turn rate - TR12 is the default. Players can agree to use any turn rate.
Player eligibility - No Korean or Chinese IP addresses. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis at the tournament admins' discretion.
Players may change race between games. Random is allowed.
DQ time is 15 minutes. Please be careful of the B-net chat bug!
Players must use the same ID on Battle.net, Challonge, and Discord if possible. Otherwise it becomes difficult to find your opponent and can lead to incorrect WOs.
If there is a disconnect, replay the game unless one player disputes (due to having a large advantage). Then, a TL admin must watch the replay and make a decision to regame or give the win. TL admins have the final decision in ALL situations.
Thanks for continuing these tourneys Could you please consider moving the time slot 1 hour later? otherwise this starts at same time as SKTL. Ive brought this up in the SKTL discord as well and suggested moving SKTL 1 hour earlier, so ideally there would be a 2 hour gap in between. As it stands, people have to choose between 1 or the other, especially with the new format SKTL is trying to implement with no rosters submitted until the day of. Id really like to see both events get the activity they deserve, and be able to play both myself as well

Not confirmed yet, but I imagine we should have at least 3-4 more.

Unfortunately I don't think this is possible (at least for the next two). There are a ton of events on Saturdays and I already reached out to several other tournament organizers to avoid clashes when picking this timeslot. The ESL Weekly Cup starts 4 hours before this which barely gives them enough time to finish before we start. Also, the Zotac Cup NA qualifiers start just a couple of hours later, and I have an agreement with them to cast their event from the WB semifinals and up, so as soon as TL Open finishes I have to quickly switch over to the Zotac stream. I think I'd need to wait for at least the last two Zotac qualifiers to finish before I can move this tournament back.

Why not? For the next week and a half one third of top 8 proplayers' streamed practice time would be on BS; same reason as having Crossing Fields and Gold Rush there, for Open players to have fun playing same maps as pros?
Sorry I misunderstood your point. I thought you were saying that foreigners are already practicing BS. We could consider it for next week, although BS isn't a very good map IMO and it's not a new map either. Would be interested to see what players think about it.
Just an idea: I hear people forgetting to check in and then you're whoops. Maybe next tour you can sign up some backup accounts? Anonymous, handed out by your dictate?
It's always baffles me that people will play in such a tournament, then when things get serious, they back out. Don't even sign up if you can't complete the entire thing. Sucks for viewership.
