How was Mong "tactically outplayed" in this game beyond the mistaken decision to go right instead of left after killing the 5:30 min only

I never followed BW pro scene, but I find it very exciting to watch this with casting archon explaining stuff

All that is missing are observer tools from sc2 to make it perfect. I hope Remastered edition brings those. I miss my production tab and always knowing supply and current resources of both players.

Not knowing that stuff is part of the BW viewing experience, and its addition in SC2 also encouraged a lot of bad habits for casters. I sincerely hope they don't make that change. Resource counting is more than enough.

well, he kept denying SK's 4-th gas while sitting comfortably on 6 bases himself, so I wouldn't say he was "tactically outplayed".
I kinda want PURPOSE to advance now, but that means SK goes home... and that's no good

1.18 has min/gas/supply and apm for observers, it's unlikely though that they get as indepth system as in SC2, but at least the league observers tend to mouse over upgrades and all that quite often.

I prefer OSL style: minerals, gas and supplies in the right bottom corner. It's neat and informative enough

god i hate Circuit Breakers!!!!! TvP and TvZ are always soooooooo boring on it=\ noone ever tries anything besides macroing like hell

You do know you can do that in Brood war right? Look ag the mini map, count resources etc...
How is your mind 'tactical' if you don't actually do any thinking and you're fed all the information

Nah, I don't want to see that stuff, so many great moments in the game are determined on key techs changing the roles, it really adds some suspense. For exemple the simple dragoon pressure before siege mode would not be nearly as interesting to watch knowing the exact time the tank will have siege as sometimes seconds matter. And this is jsut build order stuff, not even real timing attack.
