By the way, anybody here is willing to create a "banner" or "graphics/art" for Rookie Teamleague? And if you really want to be cool and tech savvy and helpful, an intro video before every match would be really cool (like back in OSL/MSL/Proleague where they show the same 10-20 second clip of the league before each set/match starts)! | ||

Oh, I thought it was a best of 5 format. And team games work differently than 1v1s, so I think there's a better chance for a D team to win in a team game vs C/B players than in a 1v1. I don't really want to remove team melee two days before the league starts. Also wasn't personally planning on anyone casting this tournament so I never really considered the troubles a team melee mode would cause for them. Also I did have a poll up for a long time if people even wanted team melee match, or a fmp match. I think the poll was like 17-5 in favor of team melee, and no one spoke out against it. I think it is a nice addition to the league personally. Think the only real solution is to move team melee to second or third match. However, since it is so close to the first week if people mess up and don't play it in the right order I'm not gonna hold it against them or anything. Also, it just seemed a lot easier in my mind for players to all play 3 1v1s alongside each other, then the 3v3, then the team melee. Quick, easy, done. This way someone has to sit and wait to play their 1v1 at the end. Not a huge deal tho. If it is a small sacrifice for convenience but makes casting a lot easier for people, then I think it is a good idea. Edit; I'm fucking retarded. It makes a lot more sense to put it as the first set. | ||

I hope this helps out the casters and isn't an inconvenience for teams. I think it was a good compromise and made sense to me. Also yah, as someone talked about earlier, it is a best of 5 for the set (so there are situations where only 3 of the 5 maps will even be played), but I highly encourage teams to play all games. That is why I never really specified if it was best of 5. I'm gonna hand out very small prizes for categories at the end of the league, as I posted before I was considering splitting up $50 into $5 for certain categories and playing more games will give people more chances to win these prizes. Just an example of a category is say "$5 prize to both players who had the closest game", etc. I was planning on casting or having someone cast the replays that I gather from the league that wins criteria in those categories I make up, etc. And then I'll slap the money to the playerz. Not really anything big, but yah. I mean yah. yah,.g,tg | ||

the point of releasing a lineup 24 hours before hand or however long is to allow the players to prep and practice their specific matchups, involving if they want to cheese or a specific playstyle on a specific map against a specific race. It's why every team tournament in korea will always release a lineup before hand to know exactly what map to practice and what matchup to practice. this shit is extremely simple to understand. | ||

Bruh this is his league. He just explained why he didn't do it, this is extremely simple to understand. Also, towards the end of SPL they didn't release them beforehand because of matchfixing scandal so your point doesn't hold water anyway. We're not progamers, it's not like 24 hours of notice against X opponent will yield a drastic change in your skill. | ||
