Description: In this thread is where you challenge opponents. Then you meet them on the battle field If someone out there is talking trash or you feel like they need to be put in their place, then it's time to call them out.!
The Rules: Each Grudge Match that takes place is a bo7. The starting map will always be fighting spirit. After that the loser can pick any map available on iccup map pack or in the BW expansion map pool. First to win four games is declared the winner.
The Rewards: Winner of the grudge match gets to change the losers signature to anything they want and it will remain that way for a month (signature must not violate TL ban laws).
Winner also gets to be boasted in the OP of this thread that they are greater then their opponent and join the history books of grudge matches.
Finally the loser must post in this thread admitting their opponent is better. It must read "I(TLNAME) admit that my opponet(TLName) is a superior player then I am."
The Event: I will be casting the show matches live if a time is agreed upon, or cast from replays as soon as possible after the games have been played.

Interesting you should ask. Eywa went ahead and got his account locked for reasons that have nothing to do with this thread. So, seeing as he was locked for a week, I had no way of communicating with him except through other people.

Edit: I wasn't going to ask another person to cast, but L_Master volunteered, and he's casted some "bigger" events, so since he stepped up, I thought Eywa would be ready to play, but obviously, that was not the case.
So there we go. I made some stakes before, Eywa agreed to play, had a caster, I even showed up at the specified time even though I didn't want to play at that hour, Eywa was online; DODGE. If this guy were a vehicle, he would be a Dodge Mini-Van. If he were an internet meme, he'd be Doge. If he were a Looney Tunes character, he would most definitely be Duck Dodgers. I know he's really busy with his Yu-Gi-Oh card trading business, but if he can't ever clear his schedule a little bit, he's going to stay a virgin 4 life.
The fear that bristles through his body at the thought of me playing StarCraft versus him, which is why he's saying he needs to wait until January to play, so he can "practice". I doubt he will actually practice, but needs the coldness of the coldest month as fuel for the coldness of his heart, which is filled with bitter iciness. Grudge matches are supposed to be sacred, all this will lead to is a bunch of people whoring for attention to get there name on the OP, and " Ultimate bragging rights " , those are baby stipulations.....
Grudge matches are about the Hype, not about some random bullshit where people decide to dislike one another just for the extra attention, it takes away from the legitimacy of the term " Grudge Match ".
Maybe if someone wants a " Grudge Match " , they should make an actual youtube video explaining there reasoning behind challenging there opponent with some trash talk behind it, this is just meaningless and looks pathetic.

The stakes for losing were loser gets an SCV, i won though so I didnt. Technically Pokebunny should be an SCV and have Noobville as his location but decided to cheat his way out of it

More "Grudge Matches" are not going to help "improve" the BW foreign scene, if anything it will just give the community an even worse appearance to the SC2 audience that BW foreign scene is really negative and there is constant bickering / fighting amongst the people in the community...
The reason figuring out nice showmatches between certain players that are gauged at around the same skill level would be better than fake " Grudge Matches " , is because it would appear that people are working together instead of against each other, and then maybe some positive things might happen.
In the course that this thread is headed, it is going to go no where fast...The BW Foreign scene at the moment has a chance to be completely revitalized because of all the stuff happening, there is a lot of potential, it is doing well, but this type of negative bullshit and childsplay type attitude of how to get more attention to the scene, is just going to make the outside view of what is going on very childish and absolutely pointless, basically an utter waste of time.
Go look in the Grudge Match thread where me and RandomKorean played, there was pages and pages of pure hatred and anger flourishing from the beginning to end, including the title.
So once again, I think that at this point in time the last thing we need is pointless Grudge Matches, we need nice show matches where the players skill are gauged accordingly in order to give the best games, sure it would be great to see the higher level foreigners duke it out in some SM's, but even in the C rank and D rank show matches would be nice.
Things need to be organized behind the scenes, not just random spouts of GM's popping up here and there and no idea when they will get played or who is going to play them. They needed to be casted in a professional instructional manner, to not only sound professional but to help people who are wanting to learn.
I'm done trying to preach though, because I already know all of these petty attempts will continue regardless.
EDIT : If you are one of those hard headed people who think " Well who cares what SC2 community thinks of BW Foreign Scene" , then you really need to start paying attention to the forums and seeing how many Ex BW Pro gamers are quitting SC2 and returning, and also all the gamers in general becoming interested in BW and coming to learn the game, be more open minded.

Also, if you read my post, I was against the idea of a common thread for grudgematches since I felt that it misses the idea of a grudgematch which is why I said showmatch is a better idea and thanks Bisudagger for the initative. Man, this post made me angry. I was going to go flip a desk. But let's get some facts straight:
- He was French-Canadian, and only had 30 apm - I spend 99% of my time screening all my opponents on iccup, not "30%", making sure none of my opponents got above 50% D- in any prior season so I can get teh beautyful D+ - I can't get Eywa back, he's too busy getting rich selling Pokemon cards. - I was a hipster before it was mainstream. - Our overall record is 4-38 in favor of Chris, but I was brave enough to take a stand against his tyranny. - I like cats and popcorn.

Actually, I d like to challenge FFW_Rude if he ever reads that. Terms are simple, if I win, you have to write that CJ Entus is the best team ever and that Leta was the most entertaining Terran player ever! Their tournament game was level, Chris had the upper hand for a long time and threw it away. It wasn't trolling, most of what I wrote I meant. Well, we'll never know, Chris definitely isn't upset, he definitely doesn't sit there with his arms crossed, his head doesn't turn red whenever Nina's nick comes up, he never snarls at his screen and he is now the bigger man by not playing her, despite his high chances to defeat her in a longer series if he tried. funny you wrote this since I figured the next point would be that the skill levels of GMs wouldn't be as high (what you wrote) but my main point remains. A grudgematch happens when the two players have a grudge against each other. What you're telling me is that if I hate tonight's gut (I don't lol), I can only have a grudgematch with him if we are both above a certain level which negates the entire idea of a grudgematch!
Yes, the games would be more interesting to watch if the two players were more skilled but I don't think it's right to place such constraints on a grudgematch for the sake of providing entertainment. You also assume that it will be casted but I don't care much for that unless I'm extremely pissed and feel like the games would be really good(or wacky) so fun to cast. The matches can be played between the two players privately to settle things. Also, not sure what your last line is about so I'll leave it at that.

I gotta agree with Nina here. I believe a fun community is what's important to attract new players and improvement comes after that. Community members joking around doesn't detract from them trying to improve and will help us attract new players. Also, speaking for myself, I'm not looking to get as good as Koreans. I'm looking to just enjoy the game with the rest of the BW community while improving a bit and playing fun and bizzare matches etc...

The Rules: Each Grudge Match that takes place is a bo7. The starting map will always be fighting spirit. After that the loser can pick any map available on iccup map pack or in the BW expansion map pool. First to win four games is declared the winner.
The Rewards: Winner of the grudge match gets to change the losers signature to anything they want and it will remain that way for a month (signature must not violate TL ban laws).
Winner also gets to be boasted in the OP of this thread that they are greater then their opponent and join the history books of grudge matches.
