stupid rule though, hell i could prolly hit decent into c- at the end of the season significantly easier to rank up higher than you belong the later you play in the season | ||

Not a stupid rule either imo. Have to set a cap somewhere, somehow. We saw what happened with a year+ of no hard cap: A mostly C- league broke out. ICCup rank sucks for this, but until we have Bird server and ELO style bases ranks, its the best way we have. Unless you have a better solution that involves some quantitative way to control league skill. | ||

I've always been a ladder hero, ive been playing DR leagues for a long time and this is the best ive managed to do yet ._. Barring super time consuming tedious checking of players match histories etc etc i dont think there is a real way. | ||

To me that means the rule itself doesn't suck, but the way we have to implement it does. No cap just doesnt work. You either have to be arbitrary, which has its own set of issues, or you get what happened in DRTL: continued skill inflation. Let guy A in, so now guy B should be, and then its to the point where people are so used to players the players we are playing are new top of the league players like RulZ, tonight, Samgohan, knightpraetor, etc. Hopefully in a few months there will be a much better system though. | ||
