Really exciting group today. sSak is the clear favourite though but with a bit of luck, any of the other 3 can advance.
Larva really showed a bad performance the last two SRT's but he has looked stronger on stream recently, even vs terran!

After defending the first DT with mines, ample finally pushes out with a vulture/tank force that marches mostly unopposed to Hint's front: now a pretty solid contain established.

Well it's not everyday you see a 3 depot wall defending the tanks pummeling the natural: Hint throws his entire remaining force in, fails to break that front, and types out. GG!

Ample going with a pretty normal looking early expand, while hint is one-basing going for fast DTs. Ample finally scouts the lack of a natural and gets a turret down in time to have detection and a wall at the front. A timely second tank and a boatload of SCV deaths later, he holds the front. Hint takes his natural behind the pressure.

Ample's first push is contested, but a few devastating mines trash Hint's dragoons and Ample is able to set up at the natural. the nexus goes down and Hint gives one desperation charge with his remaining units then GGs.

A standard tank/goliath/vessel vs. hydralisk midgame, where it looks like the superior upgrades (2/2 vs. 1/1) and seige mode are going to take it for sSak, as he blows through Larva's natural and begins attacking the main.

So sSak went for a proxy rax on the high ground which is scouted, so he smoothly transitions into a gas steal: Ample takes his natural while sSak goes 2 ports before expanding.

Ample also gets wraiths with slightly faster cloak, but sSak's 2 port allows him to retain air control: both players settling into a tank battle off 3 bases, with Ample heavier on goliaths. Ample currently trying to secure the 5 oclock as his 4th but it's scouted .

At one point, that looked really close and in Ample's favour when he tried to secure the 4th but sSak brought it back and dominated that. Seems like dropping first is a must in TvT

sSak's drop was so well positioned, covered by 3 tanks and a missile turret that had been there forever... combined with his air advantage and Ample having to split his forces between clearing the ridge and attacking the drop inside his base, it really turned the game around.

Loser's match, Larva vs. Hint:

Hint with the insta-probe towards Larva's base, and a proxy pylon in the choke. Larva wisely sends out a drone and scouts it out, forcing a cancel. Hint starts a forge at his natural.

Larva builds his 2nd hatch at his 3rd, and his 3rd hatch at the natural. Hint scouts the spire as it is halfway done. Hint moves out but there is already some solid simcity at both bases.

After having sniped the first corsair with scourge, Larva builds up enough mutas to do some serious harass, and snipes a few templar and then quite a few probes. he pushes out with a substantial hydralisk force which, despite being stormed to all hell is just too big for Hint's dragoon army to handle: with no economy, Hint types out. GG!

Final Match: Ample vs. Larva G1

Ample opens with a slightly forward rax, Larva going 12 hatch.

Ample moves out with 5 SCVs and marines, going for a bunker at the natural. Larva is forced to pull drones, but kills the marines and with lings popping out forces Ample's rush back.

The zerglings chase Ample's SCVs back to the base, not doing significant damage but delaying mining a bit longer: Ample doesn't take his first gas or begin to expand until the lings are dealt with.

Ample having now expanded, takes his 2nd gas and goes 2 fact. Larva has teched up to lair and adds a 3rd hatch as his spire passes 50% complete.

Ample going range-upgraded goliaths out of 4 factories to deal with Larva's mutalisk harass. Larva expanding to his 3rd and continuing to pressure with mutalisks.

With the mutalisks pretty much stopped, Ample pushes out with goliaths (with +1 weapons), pushing the mostly hydralisk force of Larva back behind the sunkens at the natural.

Ample now adding in tanks with siege, which prove quite useful as Larva loses a substantial amount of hydras trying to push into Ample's natural.

Larva is on 6 hatcheries, 3 bases vs. Ample's 2 bases and 5(?) factories.

Ample traps 2 control groups or so of hydras against the bottom of the map and annihilates them with his mech force, and resumes pushing up through the middle while expanding to his 3rd.

Ample cuts in between Larva's 3rd and his expansion at 12 o'clock. Ample now at 1/1 to Larva's +1 weapons hydralisks.

Larva sends a small hydra flank to deny Ample's 3rd, but he has no units to stop the push into his natural and additional mutalisks do nothing vs. mass goliaths. GG!

Ample vs. Larva G2:

Ample spawns at the top right, Larva at the top left.

Sonic laughing hysterically.

Larva opens with 3 hatch before gas, Ample opening 1 rax CC.

Ample's first 4 marines brutally hunt down Larva's first overload floating about the map, and then he moves out with 6 or so marines and an SCV. Ends up turning around instead of going for any sort of bunker rush which is a good idea since there is already a sunken. Ample now adding on more barracks. Larva goes for a speedling attack but Ample holds with a pretty solid Marine/Medic wall.

Larva's first mutalisks are out, but there are already half a dozen turrets, so larva contents himself with thinning the marine count at the front. Larva expanding to his 3rd at 9 o'clock and morphing his first set of lurkers.

Ample's vessels are out so here comes the standard terran push: Larva is setting up for a flank, which comes in perfectly!

Terran ball pushes out, Larva is pushed away but goes for surround!
Massacre! Tanks and marines butchered, however three SV manage to pull away to safety
also cleans up following reinforcements

Group of scourges arrive to attack the Science vessel, but all die in vain, only killing one.
Terran regroups his force but now defiler is out.

Another surround attempt but there wasn't sufficient force. Terran manage to seige the expansion on 9 but defiler arrive to kill them all with plague and swarms. Once again all Vessels escape unscathed.
Lurker force Ample CC on 12 to lift.

After solidly halting Ample's first push with a pretty sweet flank, Larva sets up a lurker contain for a bit, but seiged tanks push the lurkers away. A big wave of scourge only get 1 vessel. Swarm is now out for Larva, and he's expanding to the bottom left main. Ample still unable to establish enough space to take a 3rd.

Ample's next push is somewhat better, getting solid pressure onto the 9 o'clock expansion and allowing him to try and take the 12 o'clock. But a few swarms and a plague clear that up, and 2 lurkers deny the expo.

Another expansion seems to be going up on 5th.
Random dropship being sniped on 7, just as another tank-marine force also arrive there.
However defiler and lurkers once again put their force into jeopardy and this time all six SV is killed!

However single dropship arrive on the main, kills all the important tech buildings including defiler den!
Also about to get spawing pool but ultralisk appear just in time to step the offensive.
Another dropship comes to finish the job however.

Lurkers however pay back the favour by denying mining at 3rd.

Cows coming out for Larva, Ample gets a drop and snipes the defiler mound. Ample and Larva both on 4 bases, but Ample is under pretty significant pressure at the 3 oclock while Larva's main and 4th are being constantly dropped.

Ultralisks attack 3'o clock once causing SCV to evacuate. Gets cleaned up at nat thereafter though.
meanwhile pure bio force somehow manage their way to 9th but dies ignominiously.
Another drop on 7, killing ultralisk cavern and defiler mound.

Ample actually mining pretty well on 5.
Considering the barebone defenses present there, I wonder if Larva actually know Terran has well saturated base there.

Bioball just walks into nat and kill everything. Lurkers and cows die and now work up to main.

Looks like the completely unmolested base at 5 o'clock is letting Ample come back in this one.

Looks like game over, to be honest.

Eraser attempt but SV flee under spore fire; returns with shield up but by then all the drone has left.

Somehow main structures arrive but expansion on 5 cleaned up.
At least ultralisks pop up later for revenge
Larva at least still has base up on 8 and 9 but it looks really bad, counter-offensive on 3 doing poorly.
Another hatchery built on 6.

Oh wait, overlord running away gives away the base on 6. Traitor overlord
Still base on 3 goes down! Still, hive on main has been destroyed and another drop takes place to kill few drones.

3-3 marine imba, cows have nothing on them. Once again kill most of structures on 7 and 8.
Ample really doing well with dropships.
Terran base on 3 is back up again, few ultralisk and zergling cancel it again and yet another drop arrive to kill 9...

GG!!

hmm I guess Larva just doesn't like to win lol. He kinda had that once he took out the big army but leaving that 4th base to mine meant Ample had lots of production and he kept training well enough.
