Is TvZ half as good in scToo as it is in BW?
As I've only veen following BW for the past 5-6 months, I can't compare very well, but ScToo TvZ (especially at very high level) produces the most entertaining matches IMO

It's different. You can't turtle like in BW, or will outmacro you because of inject larva.
Players like MMA make it fun to watch. He plays it like Bisu's PvZ. Multiple drops, while sniping overlords, taking down tech structures and pushing main army at the same time.
Edit: we saw Flash trying to turtle hardcore vs Effort, and Effort knew how to macro, and the outcome was inevitable.

I love the Tarzan soundtrack
meh, its the most forgetable soundtrack, unlike jungle book.
Stargate warping in No upgrade being upgraded from the core just yet Hydra den is up now, hidden at the mineral only Effort has ling speed, and manages to pick off a probe Two zealots running into the nat of Effort, spots the hydras +1 is being upgraded at the forge Effort manages to snag a single zealot 3 panic cannons from Shy
Archives, robo, obs and 2nd gate are all up Effort coming in with a hydra ling force towards the nat of Shy One lurker dies to a cannon by the mineral line The other is very low, and dies
We're back Looks like uh Effort took down the backdoor, and hydras are flooding in All cannons are dead, and a shield batter is at the nat, as well as two reavers Reaver gets sniped, but the HT lives
Shuttle is out now to ferry the reaver around No spire out yet for Effort? 47-42 supply Effort pushes into the nat, reaver and cannons fall DT gets dropped into the mineral only of Effort
I admit I didn't really watch that game super closely (shame on me), but why is everyone voting "if you have nothing better to do?". Seemed like a pretty neat hydra jump (not as pimp as calm though) and good play from effort.
sure a bit gimmicky but it at least seemed like a practiced gimmick rather than "jk 7 or 8 rax" or today's 5 pool.
Soulkey vs Hero brb, gotta do some stuff quickly. Hopefully this'll hive tech Edit: Nevermind I'm out for the night. Hopeing for good games to come back to tomorrow

Marauder is not that good in Marine/Tank combination because it takes gas that is used heavily for tanks/vikings/medivac productions. Marines also deny Viking spotters too. And in an extreme case, if you don't have marines, you will die to Banshee because there's no anti-air.

I'm just criticizing how neither of these two know SC2 well enough to play full bio w/ medivacs.

Because they didn't play full bio this time means they dont know SC2 enough? :D what kind of logic is that?

Actually, I would say full bio (Marine/Marauder) w/ medivacs is easier to play than Marine/Tank because it's a lot more more mobile than Marine/Tank with enough firepower to wipe the tanks if they can get a good engagement when the tanks are unsieged.

I don't need logic to be flippant, but anyways both players are much better than me, so that'll do.

To be frank full bio is a strategy that typically has no use in pro level TvT outside of countering mech play nowadays (where you abuse mobility to either catch the mech player out of position or to keep him pinned back while you get a big eco lead and transition into an overwhelming sky force.

I think pure Bio is a highly stylistic choice that is best used when the player understands the matchup well enough to use it properly. Right now with the forced hybrid format going on, players have to default to imitating standard strategies rather than try to revolutionize the game, so we are more likely to see the bread-and-butter marine-tank play in SPL rather than fancy pure bio or pure mech shenanigans. Plus, Antiga Shipyards is a haven for marine-tank TvT.

Thanks to esportstv and Sayle for their Streams. Has anyone noticed that the crowd was literally not there? I don't know, but to me it seems the days of Proleague are numbered. There were like 10 people, the esportstv Stream is quite empty aswell. I have no idea of the numbers of OGN, but to me it doesn't seem like this can go on for a long time. It looks like they are riding a semi-dead horse til it's last day and the switch to SC2 is not pulling any new viewers at all. Maybe it's true and LoL is the real successor of BW in terms of esports in SK.

I believe GSL matches pull more number of people that SPL, because hybrid league is just bad
But really, I don't care which game become a successor in the SK's esports scene. Current SC2 teams mostly do fine and product a lot of good games. What I worry is that the KesPa's players would lose their jobs if the Proleague scene collapse.

Kespa is probably panicking because this hybrid league is becoming a disaster. Neither BW nor SC2 is producing quality games. I think they will just kill it in a week or two and switch to SC2. Fans aren't showing up, pro gamers are retiring. I miss Killer...

Awesome work on the LR threads, Hyde!
They can't just kill it midseason. I think even if they stop that proleague, people will go in an outrage.
