- Postponements For group stages will not be allowed. Postponements for RO16 and after Will be allowed, if both players agree.
- Subs will be allowed of the same race of the orginal match-up, for group-stages only.
- All players must play with their former iccup account.
- Race pickers are allowed, but they must choose one matchup for each race (i.e. Tvz, PvT, ZvT) Before the start of the tournament. (random is not allowed).
- People caught smurfing will be
Fired. From a cannon. Into the Sun dealt with accordingly.
- Observers are allowed given both players agree.
- In the event of lag, you can try and play your games via Hamachi or any way you can come up with.
- Standard other ICCUP rules apply.
- Any situation arising will be reviewed case by case by admins.
- Winner sends all replays of his games played to DRITournament@yahoo.com

It's ultimately up to pebble which players can qualify or not, in my case he decided that my skill level was appropriate (I'm sure the same applies to shuruken and guygun). Btw I don't think he plays on your MVP account :/ Not once have I seen it be anyone other than you on that name.

I have played a few practice games vs MVP he is a clear D+ no need to boot him there are plenty of players that signed up for DRIL1 as C- that were allowed to play. Anyone that is a D+ can reach C- is just a matter of ladder amount..

Group stages for me last time took about 1hr for 3 games, two of which were TvTs, but I felt our group was particularly efficient. I feel 40mins to an hour is enough. Maybe even 30mins if you 2-0 your group with cheese

But as an admin I'd ask that from now on, all debates on admin actions to be resolved through PMs and not double, triple, and quadtraple posts (in a row) on this thread.
And for the record, when pebble emailed me and i saw ur name, I remembered ur decent but not outstanding games from the DRTL reps and was about to defend you until i clicked on those screenshots. Take this as life lesson and GROW UP.

Which sniper ridge map do you mean? iirc there are three versions. 1.0, 1.1 and the current kespa one, neo sniper ridge. The one in the current iCCup mappack is version 1.1. Just for clarification.
Here were the current updates I was told of for each version, correct me if I'm wrong.
1.0 - release version
1.1 - naturals were changed to help with toss walling
neo sniper ridge - ramp to third, natural minerals rearranged for easier muta harass.

I have an idea: since some people showed interest in filling the open slot place, Thursday there will be a roundrobin beetwen players to determinate who goes in that group. maps will be Jade, Sniper ridge and FS.

I work on the week days around that time so I can't make the round robin but I'll be around during the actual tournament.

Okay, this is how it is for group D. IF UED_Themarine cannot play game 5, sGs.IU gets w.o. by default. That is for 2 reasons.
1. IU posted before the tournament started, that he had an appointment with the doctor. He has been very collaborative throughout the whole thing and therefore, since the point of this tournament (imo) is to play and have fun and improve, has the right to play game 5.
2. UED_themarine today, up to an hour ago you where playing in the defiler.ru tournament. Thus i do not believe you don' t have time (IU said whenever you want) to play. Up to you. You can play or not play.
I don' t want any whining about it, man up and just play your best game. (be manly like a protoss)

I know you're banned, but here's my suspicions:
a) You claim you come from US East, with no prior ICCup experience. That alone seems fishy enough to me. You state that your aka is VirtUre @ USEast, but that is an account with 0-0 stats.
b) Last season, you easily attain a record of 9-0. Although that is not too hard, it still indicates your skill is clearly not D, but D+ at the very least, or better.
c) Your games were impressive all around, and to me it just doesn't add up that you are in the D/D+ rank (along with previous suspicions). I would definitely say yellow ranks without a doubt.
Sorry, but this is a goddamn tournament for money targeted towards players of a certain skill range. Can't the people who actually deserve to participate have their chance to shine and not have their experience ruined by players who do not belong in such an event?
You know, there's probably going to be another C ranks starleague (hopefully) after Noise ASL ends..

It is kind of lame for me to give a defense here but, I will do so again; Most active season I recently played (Jan/Feb) was 280+ games with 2365 final record. I don't think many more D+ person exists. I won 14-0 in the end of last season, won a few against people in DRTL (as in, part of my games for the tourney). I got 3rd place last time. I did hit C a year ago, this is true. If you guys think I am too good for this league, then I will leave. I just hope to give the spot to Gorg in my place if I were to be voted off or what not, since he missed his chance earlier in the tournament. If you have some sort of evidence or what not that would be good to see too, like rep analysis (would help me a lot I think ^^)

Espescially about protosses. Of course, it is not a rule, there are many exceptions, but not in the case of Babo and VirtUre or what his name was.
Normally, D+ protoss in pvt have 90-110 eapm (because they don't need more to win terrans lol). In PvP the same i think, because of similar mechanic and units in match-ups. Babo and VirtUre both had 125-130 average eapm. Most of D+ terran players don't have such an incredible speed, don't need to tell about protoss. Also, you just said, that you have hit C rank in past, so you have much more experience than D+ players, so you can win every one in this tournament, so it is not even a competition anymore.

My 'eapm' is 1a2a3a4a5a of the army accross the map in order to have constant vision of his own army movement. I saw it in a PvP rep once a long time ago and figured that it was a better idea than sedentary. I often do not reach 110 eapm on games that end quickly or do not have me in control of 5 control groups of units.. In the end eapm is also not everything; I lose to people with lower or equivalent eapm consistently and I only play at D rank.. Nagisama has 270 apm too, you know? Just because eapm says one thing it should not distract you from the poor macro and reaction time that are typical of D+ players like myself -_-

You can't really judge PvT on EAPM. Good mechanics alone can take you to D+, especially as protoss, but if you're playing high D+ and C- terrans, who can actually control their units pretty well, you can't rely on micro and macro mechanics anymore, because if the terran reads the game well and have good timing attacks, he will beat you no matter how fast you are. At that point strategy is much more important.

I'm travelling on Saturday 23rd and i won't be back until Friday so i need to postpone the game or to play it before.
I may be able to play from Sunday to Wednesday but i don't know, but i won´t be able to play on Saturday since i will be in the train.
The ideal thing would be playing the game before Saturday and I can whenever, i dont know if this is possible though.
I have to whisper or PM my opponent and ask him, am I wrong?

From Sunday to Wednesday means during my trip (Wednesday 24th) but its way better for me to play before, since im not sure i'll be able to play there cos i don't have a laptop.
So Wednesday is perfect for me and I think will be free the whole day. I usually sleep from 3:00PM to 1:00AM CEST more or less but i can change that a little without problem, so you can choose the hour.

thx essbee i pretty much practiced specific builds to compete against u because i knew if not the strongest, one of the strongest in this tourney..... but i just looked at the brackets and my face when lol if i happen to win agaisnt nagisama ive have to play people such as babo (both the other 2 strong people i see in the tourney....) in semis :O gonna be a rough couple weeks for me lol if i want to stay in the tourney.

I don't know, I don't mind that aspect that much. It encourages you to see what maps your opponent is weaker on, what builds they do on that map, and because the opponent doesn't know what map is coming it favors planning ahead more. Gives the person who is down a game a better chance to come back and inspires some good tailored builds potentially ^^

It actually kind of does, because in this case, the best way of preparing is to prep for maps 2 and 3 since it's a guarantee you'll be able to select at least two maps before being eliminated assuming you win on the maps you pick. This gives you an advantage when picking the map (which is good for the loser to have an advantage tbh)..

I'll be on all day so it doesn't really matter that much. Although the correct notation is EDT since we're in daylight savings during the summer. EST is winter.

It was a bad idea to have 3 rounds in 1 weeks time. This allows Arca and Ewya to play their match regulary, and 4adun to play his match vs jealous. let me all know what you think about this.

Okay, so... Since this will be decided by a vote, I'd like to start the discussion. I need all players to post here ONE time only showing their point of view, don't reply to what anyone else is saying, simply show your perspective. Once this is done, we can have a confidential vote (so that no one is pressured to do anything) and see where the cards may fall. I suggest 75% minimum required vote for a change (more that 50%).
So, here is what I have to say about it... Honestly, it does prove better for me if the league format does not change, however, this has a minimal influence on the following.
This may be a rough read because I don't have the time to review it.
As a fellow league organizer, I can see how you would want to do such a thing simply to make the league as successful as possible. I have been in a situation similar to this in the Gambit's Cup where decisions had to be made and in the end, while it may have proved beneficial to the league to make last minute changes, it could not happen for the sole reason that both teams have even say and there is no reason for one team to go out of its way entirely to help another one out. Now, PP matches are already a part of the rules and I think, that honestly, if 1 week is not flexible enough for 1 match... I don't know what is. I know Gambit Cup they were fighting from a position where they had a whole lot less freedom than that, yet I still didn't sway. In the end, you have to ask yourself is this a league or a learning exercise. that being the same argument I often made about DRTL2.
There are however, still alternatives to rescheduling which I would like to consider after illustrating my viewpoint as a player. As a player in this tournament, I have gone out of my way to play matches... Last week, I was on a business trip, left work, went straight to the hotel, skipping out on supper, moved the furnishing in the room so I could get closer to the access point because the signal was god awful and played a Bo5 against Aeghrur, didn't complain for a second. Honestly, if you want to play BW, most likely, there's a way to play BW. I don't have a problem with rescheduling, but when moving an entire 2 rounds is discussed, I always get a bit edgy because I don't see how it's reasonable that the people don't have enough dedication to play a single game of BW all week.
I have a proposal which would also solve the problem of W.Os in the Semi-Final. Simply put, rather than reschedule the entire round as well as the finals, put the W.Os in the Ro8. If the players who are here can't find it in themselves to play one series this week, and can't even make an honest effort to do so, let their opponents from the Ro8 play.

Eywa if you want the walk over because your opponent cannot re-schedule whitin one week say it . Its your right as a player in the tournament. Pm if you don' t want to post it here. however it would be nice to have actual semifinals. There are 4 players involved. Don' t seem so difficult to me.

I believe you can automatically save vods using FMLE. In your panel options choose output. Then go look for save to file and enable it. It should save the VOD in flv in your root or default video folder.

The best way to do full screen casting is to use FRAPS however you have to pay for the program and you do not stream with it. Also you need a video editor to compress the file and to add w/e titles / overlays you are adding.

If you're D+ and first pick up SC2 I doubt you will be a solid Masters player, the games are too different due to strategy and etc. The conversion should be done based on how many people are in each category. In SC2 this is clear - all the ranks have an equal amount of players in them, right? So Bronze, Silver, Gold, Plat, Diamond, Masters, GM = 7 divisions. @TheShimmy: Thanks for the entertaining cast, good job! Since you brought this up, I'll explain it here: the cannons. Cannons at natural after 2 gate FE is pretty common because
1. cannon range is = goon range (and your goon range is delayed so the cannons are useful here)
2. you are behind in production against 2 gate goon opponent so you need to make cannons in order to 'catch up' to his goon count
3. if they go DT they are a life saver, and sometimes it's hard to tell if they do or do not (I personally saw 2 zeal 2 goon and he could have cancelled range, which could be part of a DT opening)
As far as the cannons at the hidden base:
1. stop dt harass
2. doesn't let your expo die to just 1 stray scouting unit like 1 goon or 1 zeal
3. if they try to scout with probe the probe dies before making it up the cliff, therefore not revealing crucial information such as how many probes, cannons, or army is positioned at that base so the enemy often has to over-invest in destroying it, which can lead to you in turn busting into his nat because his army is out of position ^^
4. if obs scouts it, there is a chance obs will die

I'm going to be honest, when you killed my nat in g2 I thought to myself "I'm going out 0-3" but then when you walked up my ramp and lost 4 goons I got the courage to finish that game... Then after that I just became really patient and confident at the same time so I got the series win. I was SO scared in g2, you have no idea ;-; Your path was definitely one of the hardest for sure. For me to get PvP 4 series in a row (my worst MU statistically) was also pretty brutal though haha. Arca has so much intel on my PvP it's not even funny. Speaking of which, I went strange builds intentionally vs 4Adun so you wouldn't be able to prepare for me adequately, you prep work is scary and I could see it in your games vs EssBee and Nagisama.

I wouldn't mind to help or cast. I can coach all races, and can cast mostly any time when needed. I haven't played BW seriously in a long time but I still have the game sense, my max rank on iCCup was B- as Protoss, C as Zerg and C as Terran. Just let me know if I would be needed to coach or cast. God bless~

I mean for the finals haha. When and if DRIT S3 rolls around I plan on casting the whole tourney. Im really looking forward to seeing you guys in action in the DRTL S3.

Another Tournament gone! Thanks everyone, even do this season there where more complications than last one, we got it through in some way and hope you guys all had fun playing as i had fun casting.

Also want to thank Probe[wok], sGs.Gorg, bd.Sugo, REDBLUEGREEN, sGs.Fluke, sGs.eR, and others (sorry if I forgot) for helping me prepare for the games. Want to give a shout out to Arca(crema) for a great series and to Victorious Secret, cheer for us in DRTL s3!
Also, yes a few of the games were pretty drawn out but I was just making sure I could resupply faster than him no matter what, so I waited until I had a significant base and gate advantage, as well as do storm drops, before winning. "When you're ahead, get more ahead." ^^v
